In PHG the aim assist on PS4/5 literally makes you aim in-between 2 targets anyway, not actually at one of them.

It will make you aim for the Predator’s stomach or chest instead of his mask for example.

Another example is when there is one downed Fireteam member and another one is picking him up, and the Predator has a POV where they stretch from the left of his screen to the right of his screen, and tries to aim the Bow or Plasma pistol at one of the FT members - the ‘aim assist’ will make the Predator aim in the space in-between the two FT players, not at one of them.

Just to stop everyone from wasting time:
This video which is an annoying Short, you can’t scrub through, doesn’t explain what it means by “Aim Assist”. All it says in 30 or less seconds is what a mouse can do on PC.
So it doesn’t say anything about

  1. What it is on PS
  2. What you believe “Aim assist” means.
  3. What others ignorantly believe it means.
  4. Whether or not PHG exhibits any of this.

Aim assist on PHG for console works with quick scopes. Any ADS longer than a second will disengage aim assist.

Ping affects trajectory, aim-assist or not. Even if you aim correctly, bow and plasma will go to the left. We have tested this, even uploaded a video of it. Really annoying that you have to adapt depending on ping.

There’s no aim-assist (that I know of) for PC players using a controller, though if it existed, it could probably be easy to exploit and use aim-assist even with K&M

Just so you guys know:
“aim assist” only means using two physical controlling parameters being used at the sametime(panning POV cam and strafing).
This is not to be confused with locking on a target assisted by an AI system. Which is “auto-assist aiming.” You can figure this out while playing AFTE which essentially is a hallmark of the weapons system.

Some douch bag made a video showing “aim assist” and saying “see how it locks on automatically!” and every one got confused for days over WTF he was trying to explain.

I hope you all know that, and not throwing some shit confusing subject matter into the air for all of us to get confused with.

No it needs to be off and it’s not even good aim assist, we should be allowed to turn it off for consoles

So you mean panning should disable while using strafing? Gud! Infact Firing a weapon should only happen when all buttons are not pressed!
