who’s excited to see it? i am!!

just saw another trailer for it tonight on tv, and it appears it will bring back THE original xenomorph from alien 1. there was a scientist dude (probably wet-yu) or something who said “…supposedly killed it by sending out to space through the airlock. we’ve been looking for it ever since. the perfect organism.” and during that, it showed a few clips from the original movie along with a new one: it was a big rock being brought into a spaceship from space that upon closer inspection, you can see the xenomorphs head and some of its body stuck in the rock. personally i love this idea, bringing back the OG bug. will it make its way to hadleys hope and finally become a queen, and starting the hive? so hyped to find out

I’m really looking forward to it. In my country, Romulus will start showing in theaters in September.

I didn’t have high expectations for Romulus (I’m still waiting for the Covenant sequel), but from what I’ve seen of some of the trailers, it looks pretty interesting. Somehow, Big Chap returned.

I also like the new alien design. It looks like an isolation xeno, but the scar on its head is really cool. I might be paying for a toy for the first time in a while.

I completely don’t see an xenomorph in there. What I see is an impression of something familiar.
such that it reminds me of how they mummified bodies int he franchise and jettisoned them out into space.

Could it be that the very thing we thought was safe to toss out into space as garbage, ends up becoming the perfect organism? probably not exactly but its an interesting thing to noodle around with.

Already got my tickets but id say stop watching all the teasers, tv spots, clips, etc. I did that with godzilla minue one and it made the experience way better cus i wasnt anticipating anything from scenes. Either way alien and predator movies are always an experience in theatres except the predator

Tbh my expectations are not very high due to the history of the franchise not to mention the last few installments haven’t held nearly as high as the first or even second however this should be the movie that fixes all everything that the fans have been complaining about we get that gothic sci-fi horror experience again with Ridley Scott hopefully making appropriate corrections

If hope if its a phenominal success and that we will get more films along the way that stays close to the practical effects roots and expands on the lore territory which this film already seems like its going to do. PLus make everything that the 70s and 80s films did but better!

And i hope they derail JCs vision and go with less ants and queens and more pathogen and spores and such or possibly a mashup.

I have no hope for it. Nothing they’ve said in interviews or promotional stuff fills me with any confidence. First good android, going in a new direction, etc.

Its gonna be a badass friday cant wait either me and my son reserved the seats already. One thing i thought was cool was they never shown the struggle with the face hugger tryin to attach to a host through the mouth and ill think since they did its gonna have that uncomfortable and kinda nasty feel when it does. Great for the mood the movie is said to be setting

Yea i think theyre rlly trying to emphasize the facehugger’s role in this movie. Half the trailers r just images of them scuttling around chasing ppl

Yeah, because it’s a prequel to Aliens. I think its supposed to be the story of what happened to hadleys hope but i could be wrong

Doubt. Riddley as somehow a hand into it. He despise everything after Alien because its not its vision.

(Even if its vision is 90% of the time AI based and is shit. Riddley great director, terrible script writter.)

I’m having some high hopes guys, the imdb states some actors under some ‘questionable’ titles and I’m all hyped about what that is about!
