I’ve said this before, but I think Xenos should be a limited time special event. Every now and again for a limited time they introduce Xenos as AI for Predators to hunt in teams in a separate mode, maybe horde type mode, and they can earn exclusive event themed rewards for participating like Xeno masks or trophies. It’ll take the stress off Predator wait times, give people a chance to earn trophies instead of RNG and all the anti-Xeno people can stick to regular hunt mode if they don’t want to get involved, everybody wins.

IPs are segmented in terms of medium that they can be published.

Yes for movies you get 20th Century Studios (no longer Fox 20th) under Disney.

For novels it is under Titan Books.

Comic books recently moved under Marvel from Dark Horse.

Alien(s) for gaming purposes was held by Capcom (not sure now as other company has being developing game for Aliens)

AvP is a separate IP.

By the way Daybreak games just acquired Cold Iron Studios and they are developing an Alien Shooter game

Im totally down for somthing like that the whole point of this is to see if people want this and if enough people do and it goes viral in the community maybe illfonic will listen and be like ok lets give them what they want and make some money and make the game grow like anythings possible the ideas are endless but I really like this idea would be good for practicing Predator

Also, I’m not an expert with IP when it comes to games, but in terms of films, Universal allowed Marvel to use Hulk in their films even though they still own the rights to the character, as did Sony for Spiderman, so it’s not out of the question for Illfonic to potentially strike a deal to potentially introduce Xenos into the game? But again, I’m no expert.

I’m reasonably sure they do have access to the AVP movies, which in terms of IP give them some access to Xeno’s.

The AVP movies are canon to this game.

You do realize that if illfonic were to add aliens they would have to aquire the license for that too right? It’s better for them to put time and energy into modes that doesn’t require more licenses from other franchises.

I actually don’t think it does require a licence. Fox owns both and they are characters that appear in movies that are part of the Predator licence.

No. No. And for the thousandth time NO. The overwhelming majority of people do NOT want Xenos in this game. There’s a new Aliens MMO game coming out for all the Xenos fanboys soon, they can go play that. This is a game for Predator fans, about The Predator in the style of the classic movie. There’s already AVP games that have been done. There’s Aliens games too. This needs to stay Predator only.

people want to disagree with shit for no reason other than to look like they have a unique opinion that they aren’t sharing with anyone, and then there is others who simply don’t like it which is fine but you dont have to call people fan boys sorry i like both franchises and want to see awesome content

I want to see awesome content too, but without using Xenomorphs. There is so much potential based around Yautja culture alone, and an endless supply of inspiration from the Dark Horse expanded universe that bringing Xenos into the game is such low hanging fruit.

not even for a game mode? like it could be by choice why waste the potential to successfully bring this game to life by multiple choices for modes but hey I understand and respect your opinion I just don’t see why people wouldn’t want more game modes like it literally could be anything and it would add to the game to keep things fresh

Disagree, I think that those who are for and against are only a small portion of the total population. I’m sure the far majority of people don’t care one way or the other.

Regardless, it will add to the player base. It will provide something different and all the saying this is a Predator game means nothing.
