PS5 is way smoother. Some frame drops but very few and never really immersion breaking.
I’d say most likely underpowered hardware and a need for further optimisation. I’m sure they’ll make improvements but they will be limited by the base PS4. IMO there should have been a low graphics option for ps4 that boosts frames. But I think with over 10 million PS5s in the wild now (maybe 15-20 million by year end) that we will see more games not being great on PS4. Developers are moving on now.
