I disagree. They’ve made many improvements, but for every few steps forward, they took a step back.
This game isn’t in a terrible state, it’s just not nearly as great as it could have been if there wouldn’t have been so many roadblocks on the way to refining and expanding on the core of the game.
Yes, my assessment was unfair. They did make improvements.
They didn’t add in anything that shouldn’t or couldn’t have been included at launch , they flat out lied about its state when it was launching .
They made implementations , not improvements . They are different things

Fireteams were added months before preds making the game unbalanced , and they were broken on both sides . If they were improvements? Thats subjective and opinion based . To flat out say they are improvements? Doesnt make sense to me .
Thats like saying clash was an improvement? Which again , barely worked
So the balance was messed up for a long time, but now it seems to be at it’s best state. They didn’t do it right initially, but eventually they got it. Plus they added some FT and PRED build variety. In the long run it was an improvement

Don’t predict another pred game for a decade and they’ll go a totally different direction where as ilfonic had a great idea, pred, jungle, soldiers on a mission etc, then they executed it poorly. Maybe poorly isn’t true, the game is or was fun. But it could have been so much more. Aliens FT is a totally different game but it shows how you can launch a strong movie franchise game and with a good amount of content and very few bugs. Only issue I’ve had is the occasional sound bug which I’m sure they’ll fix. The promised 4 major updates will probably be very good too. Hopefully 4 whole campaigns.

Cold Iron have said they are releasing another playable class in AFT on September 8. Mere weeks after launch. It’s a unique class not a tweaked reskin. And it’s free.

Also. There’s a creature native to the planet you visit in the game. It has camouflage and one of the characters tells you to “watch for the shimmer”. A little jab at PHG methinks.
Alien and Predator often have these dick raising contests usually with Alien starting the argument cause people remember the crossover over the main series.
The monster you speak of is also in the campaign with the frames dropping to the point its unplayable so the monster means nothing to me.
That is unfortunate. It runs well on ps5 for me and my friends. Only occasional frame drops but never unplayable. I do know someone on a base ps4 who struggles though.
Ps5 seems better , I know on ps4 pro I played one stage with Llama and it was the worst lag I had ever encountered in a game , but I will give them the same benefit of doubt as I have illfonic at the beginning. It was the prometheous level mostly .
But I know people who don’t get issues at the same stages as others? Could it be something to do with connections?
