It’s similar to Resident Evil Resistance in concept but not just spawning stuff and locking doors on players.
Tl;dr for you this is pvp. Fireteam has to locate and kill the queen after the power’s back on, voting on various objectives (captains vote is weighted) that should limit the effectiveness of the xenos side in the meantime based on how not shit of a captain you are and if everyone’s doing their job scanning, welding doors, scouting etc. Xenomorphs early game is a facehugger, midgame is more like an RTS where you control an individual unit trying to find facility weakpoints while making more xenos, and lategame is the queen thats indestructible aside from the colony self destruct.
