No @P-willie2000… gringo is not racist… but you know what is racist? another white folk telling a minority what a word from THEIR LANGUAGE means and how it can and can’t be used. That right there, is the perfect example of what is called “systemic racism” … the white men telling others what they can and can’t do with their culture. Something you are probably not familiar with because, well… you’re white (is that an insult too, calling you white? should I use something else that does not offend you?)

Can it be used in a negative connotation? Sure… the same way you can use latino, japanese, asian, indian or whatever… if you used it with an insult. as a stand alone word, it is not pejorative, no matter how much you cry
