Chases away competitive and avid players. Because if you attract that you attract those others come and learn and improve and enjoy more the game. Is a no brainer.

I think it might be because there aren’t as many players in his region making games harder to find
I’ve seen grievances from other players that don’t live in North America and Australia/New Zealand where 90% of the players reside

Lets focus on the issue of why you need to be able to report a player?
If all your doing is reporting they left you and ur team high and dry. Playstation safety is going to make you understand real quickly that false reports are not allowed.

Because is a natural function to have in the year 2021, in a video game that needs to be tidy and welcoming by having a defined system in place.

Its there! But you stated even if they played the whole game you would still like the ability to report them at the end report screen and not be allowed to leave before that 20 seconds? Why force a player to sit there for 20 seconds cause we all know the load times suck on the ps4
The issue is not so much about reporting but as well as supporting the system that would be put in place to punish toxic behavior of afking and ragequit.
It comes into support of the issue I just talked about, that of giving a small time penalty that would discourage the actual peers to practice such thing as ragequit and afk knowing a small punishment is in palce. Making them being more aware(yes it works also for the kids who probably play on their parents accounts or any other toxic practice that can be encountered).
You would have figured it out and put it together if you would have read the actual debate and issue to begin with.
