What do you mean? In the first movie, when the Predator shoots Dillon’s arm off his laser sight functions exactly the same as it does in the game. One long tracer sight from his mask to his target.

Gotcha. The Predator did seem to be purposely giving his position away to toy with Dillon a bit before finishing him off since he was isolated from the rest of the squad. Maybe they could make it so that only charged shots have a visible laser sight, but I wish they hadn’t nerfed the charged shot’s damage.
This article about sniper rifles. Stop crying about predator in every topic. Its is a game not a movie. In this movie Predator was killed by wooden trap.

I disagree. This game is not reasonably balanced. Not even close yet. However it plays much better than it ever has. Which is a good thing. And a step in the right direction.
This is my list of suggestions. As well as some discussions about these ideas and back and forth. If you get the chance read through it. If something like this is put through. Its gonna bring the game to a whole other level.

While I understand that this post is to discuss FT sniper rifles,
Discussing any buff/nerf/rework for either side, warrants discussing the effect it will have for the other. Both sides must be considered, this is how balance is maintained, or improved.
Snipers do have a gleam, everything does, but most sniper rifles in the modern era (which this game clearly takes place based on the weapon selection and tech around the map) Have honeycombs to prevent a glare from giving away the reflection.
Modern warfare had sniper glares, and it is the most attrocious thing in the world. A snipers position should never be given away before his first shot. However, I am of the mind that after he makes his first shot, its fair game, hence the simple solution of suppressor removal from snipers.

no matter how weak they make the pc, it will always be viable because it’s an infinite source of dmg for the pred, while the ft has limited heals. the game isn’t perfectly balanced now, but the pc is good enough, atm. unless they buff the ft in some ungodly way, then they don’t need to buff the pc.
Yeah, in your opinion. I agree with the overall concept of roles being refined, but it has to be done carefully. I say this game is reasonably well balanced at this point because all else equal you can’t really predict if Pred or the Fireteam is going to come out on top.
Like I said in a comment around this forum somewhere, balance talk this early is a bit hasty. There aren’t even that many people at level 100 with everything unlocked. I still see most predators playing one of two ways with the extremely seldom Predator being smart. I still see teammates on the fireteam going off alone or not properly following the focus of the team. The amount of fireteam members that don’t hunt a predator down on second-wind is overwhelming. I wouldn’t try to chase him being 50-100 meters but it’s worth at least checking to see if he ducked behind a tree too close and you can finish him and almost nobody follows my buddy and I when we go do that which is hit or miss if we handle the pred or die to him.

I think having some way to detect mudded snipers is smart. At the moment they’re the real hunters. There’s simply no way for predator to find them. Between that, revive, and reinforcements it’s heavily stacked against the “killer”
It’s in the game… If you haven’t figured it out yet, that’s on you.
Stop asking for things that would make it easier for you, just because you are too lazy to find out the right way to do it.
And yes, when on the FT I am that guy that will probably take away your bio mask, unless you get lucky and I hit a tiny leaf. It’s on you for being sloppy. 8 out of 10 times predators are having a bad time when playing against a team I’m in. The other 2 times it are actually good predators, who know how to play, and understand that I need to be taken out first as I’m the biggest threat and not my loud assed team, that are blasting at the trees in a panic…

It’s not condescending, it is just being blunt. Too many “predator only” players are asking for things, that are already in the game… Instead of putting in the work and learning how to play as the predator, they admit they suck at it and demand stuff to be changed so it’s easier for them.
A good sniper would not position himself in the way that direct sunlight would hit the scope of his rifle (lens flare) and as this game mostly plays out in a leaf covered canopy jungle, sunlight will not be reflected on the scope. And a laser on a sniper is a useless thing, no sniper I know of would add that to his rifle.
And you seem to be unable to find those poop colored FT members? Maybe you should ask those guerrilla fighters how the heck they spot them so easily, as they seem to have no problem zeroing in on them.
Not a predator only player by any means. I’ve actually played more FT. And I’m sorry if you disagree, but yeah you totally came off like a condescending know it all with your various, ill-informed assumptions 🤷♀️
