And I seen the opposite a lot. FT premade loses 1 match in month: Oh the disk is op, the plasma is op, the predator is using macros, all excuses possible cus despite the game being literally balanced so the ft can win some premades still manage to lose cus they weren’t good enough despite the abuse of unbalanced stuff vs a Predator player that is playing handcapped by high ping that can play better as ft as the premade anyways.
All this should be removed from the game

You are carried entirely by hitscan weaponry, insane damage numbers, outright Pay to Win DLC in the form of Dante, and ludicrous build set ups such as Recon Tracker & Support Field Medic. And the entire time whilst everybody else has to suffer for it, you insufferable assholes are like “The game isn’t competitive, why does everybody care about balance, just let it be”
- The game isn’t fucking competitive BECAUSE of the shit balance.
- We care because we’ve had to fucking suffer with everything getting worse for a year and a half and it makes the game bland & stale. Everybody runs the same fucking shit, the same Perks, the same Weapons, the same Classes. 80% of the options in the game go unused. 80% of this game’s content is just sat there not being put to use at all because the Devs have continually worsened their product in the vein attempt to help braindead children & boomers who have never touched a game in their life but got this because it had Predator in the title and they saw that movie when they were like 5.
You and the rest of FT main troglodytes are disingenuous, smug bastards who will sit there and say “The balance doesn’t matter, just play whatever, it don’t matter bro” right up until you fuckers actually lose a match to something like the Axe or Disc and then suddenly Balance fucking matters, or somebody calls you out on playing a Dante or Recon Tracker or Support Field Medic: then suddenly “Just let people be, bro”. Because its okay to curbstomp your way through the same fucking braindead FPS gameplay day in & day out so long as you don’t have to consider what its like on the other side, or why the Devs have continually been told for a YEAR AND A HALF, that their game is fundamentally broken.

I am fucking entitled, I put close to over £200 into this game, I got other people to play & support it, I gave good words on it, left good reviews and said the Devs initially deserved support.
Do you go to a Restaurant, order a meal and then just say “It is what it is” if the Chef spits in the food? No you’d put a goddamn complaint in and tell them to clean up their act. You don’t sit there & eat it and be like “Well, just how they are.”
I worked 3 goddamn years in this industry, I’d be ashamed to be associated with this kind of product, and your stupid ass is sat here defending it because you wanna win an online spat. You are an idiot of the highest calibre, this is why Devs get away with anti-consumer practices & incompetence. You deserve to be ripped off if this is how you approach the games you buy.
Live by your own damn words, why don’t you go play a “Skill Based game” see how it goes for you. Come on, let’s see how you do in something like Halo without your Assault Deadlies, your Field Medics, Hitscan weapons & instant heals. Come on, explain to me in the interest of fairness why you don’t even want Projectile weapons for FT. Every weapon Predator has is projectile, has travel time and can be affected by Ping. Hitscan doesn’t have travel time, doesn’t even remotely start to miss until you’re hitting around 300 to 400 Ping.
Are you gonna say the maps are too small? Overgrowth is roughly twice the size of Raganarok from Halo 3, a map designed for Big Team Battle which included both ground & aerial vehicles. Projectile weapons had no problem there. The Predator’s projectile weapons act fine in the map sizes we have.
Its not realistic? Doesn’t have to be, you’re fighting a 7 foot tall crab-reptile-mammal thing alien from outer space and can run around with Anti-Cloak grenades, haul a Minigun & fire energy based super weapons. Realism has no place here and never did.
So why is it that not even Projectile weaponry would be accepted by you lot? Because you’d have to aim? Because you’d be subject to ping like the rest of us? Seems to me like a pretty glaring imbalance issue.

But, since good players and premade teams are a minority in this game, begging for deep changes like the ones in this thread and in the million other threads makes no sense.
None of the changes Illfonic have made to the Balance in the past two years to help “Randoms” has had any effect at all. It has never changed how they play, how much they win. Their issues are not statistical, they are mental. They are simply not good and no amount of lowering the skill ceiling will or has ever helped them. It has only made it easier for the good players to win.
They have had 2 years to learn no matter how much they try to help them, the Randoms will never be better at the game. And it has just made it a worse product for everybody who IS good at the game.
How does restricting player freedom & expression help a game. How does that help the community. They’ve outright removed several gameplay features from the Predator JUST to give more advantage to the potatoe FTs. We used to be able to pre-emptively trap Radios. We used to be able to swap weapons & gear in mid-air, FT can still do that but we can’t. How does that help anyone, you’re actively removing content & forcing everybody into a similar playstyle.
Year 1, everybody had a different build. Was trying something new. These days everybody is playing the EXACT same loadouts because that’s what the Devs have forced them to do.
It was dumb when Fighting games lowered the skill ceiling, and we called them out on it & most Devs started listening, and its dumb when other games do it too.

Tracker +2 sec spot time, 4 point perk.
Field Medic -1 sec revive time.
Why remove things that can be fixed. Maybe remove damage/defense perks, but leave the specializations, because (1) they’re knowable by the enemy and (2) they are give and take. They just need to buff or rework bad specializations, like liberator, overwatch, comms, etc., and nerf Duelist, Field Medic, etc.

Yes, based on potatoes (which you insist on bringing up) it has the exact effect. This is what I’ve told you time and time again and you keep bringing up “it only affects a small percentage of the player base”. So yeah. Leave it or remove it, “it only affects a small percentage of the player base” … so… remove it, because for those who it does affect, it does in a negative way
