If it was titled limited edition only 1000 copies… then its a rare item.
Alpha Skin Free Really!
And you have never actually explained this. You just keep saying they should have told people its free. Why? Why does that matter? It actually makes sense that it is free. You buy a $80 figure for a chance at a free bonus code. Because the figure is the same price with or without the code.
its not like its the original zelda never opened… so calm down. In 2 years you wont even be playing this game.
Because by not telling people it’s going to be free, and selling it, then making it free. It’s objectively exploitative to your audience. If you can’t grasp this concept I don’t know what to tell you
Except they didn’t sell it, it was merely packaged with the figure as an incentive.
Keep repackaging the concept however you like. In its most simplistic form, it was used to sell more figures and advertised as early access to dlc. If we were told it was going to be free dlc we would not have bought it. So why do you think we weren’t told my big brained friend? Do you think it’s because they didint think it was important? Uhhh no. It was because they knew it would hurt the sales of the figure. Which is, hmmm… starting to smell… exploitative
They said it was an early access code. Whether or not it was going to be free later, does not mean anything, because you didn’t have to buy the figure to get the alpha, you just had to wait for them release it, and either buy it or get it for free then.
And as I said before, the code itself was free with the figure, because the figure’s price is the same regardless of it containing the code or not.
It feels like you’re just making up something to be righteous about.
Did you think the DLC was going to be the same price as the figure?
No it seems like you just love defending a game you didint make. Which is, well what I should expect on the forum of the game. Your logic here is baffling and borderline incoherent. This is like saying if next months free DLC was samurai and City hunter those who bought it should not be upset because they never specifically stated it would never be free. Think before you speak, or type
No. Never said I did. This is an irrelevant point
That isn’t the same, because these DLCs specifically stated that the weapons were early access, but not the character. I can’t help if you can’t comprehend words, but that’s on you.
Ohhh nice attempt but a miss all the same. You still have 0 valid points here. It’s the same shit you are just trying to repackage it to be right. You’re happy you got the alpha. And upset that some people find the way it came out to be shady. Just say that. I don’t care. Good for you. But we both know it’s shady
It is not an irrelevant point. If you only bought the figure for the code, knowing it was going to be release later and cheaper, than complaining that it was released cheaper than the figure, what are you trying to accomplish?
Let me dumb this down for you. They sold something early. We were told it would be DLC later but you could get it now only one way. Some of us did that. One month later it’s free. Without us being told it would be free. You can’t sell things then say hahaha gotcha bitch we don’t have enough free dlc made for this month so we are gonna slide this in as a place holder
This actually reminds me of an old story about the very first decoder ring.
The Ovaltine company wanted to market their drink to kids as kids were becoming a major motivator for parents to buy specific brands of products. Each tin came with a little coupon, if you saved up fifty of them (might be wrong on the number, been a while since I thought about this), you could send away for a decoder ring. The code was readily available but to solve it you needed the ring.
The rings were cheap, they did work and were very cool but easily lost or broken. Kids begged their parents for this discount chocolate milk, they saved up coupons and mailed them in. Weeks later they would get a ring. They’d sit down on living room floors and hide in closets while breaking the code… one letter at a time… till finally the message was revealed. Drink more Ovaltine.
Actually, now that I brought it up, it was specifically state to be early access. Thats the same wording they used for things being released for free. You can look up all the DLCs, calling the weapons early access. So if the early access things were released for free, and this this was stated to be early access, why are you surprised it was free?
What does the price point have to do with free or paid? Nothing. Irrelevant. Think before we speak remember
I’m not sitting here and reading your thoughts on taking advantage of your fan base with sketchy business tactics. Alpha being released as our free DLC was a slap in the face of those of us who thought we were supporting the game by spending our money on it, just to see it made free the next month, and also LAZY because instead of getting something new, we got previously made content. Sorry you don’t agree.
FH13 is correct and it’s a valid point about the language.
You should remember it in the future so you aren’t disappointed Llama.
No he’s not and neither are you. I know being wrong is tough. But you two are literally just siced you didint get burned. Hahah which is funny cause like, I get that. I’d be happy too if I got it free. They positively used the wording exclusive multiple times and we ALL thought it would be one of the paid dlcs later. If you say you thought otherwise then wow I also enjoy lying to myself for the sake of being right.
