Did a couple of private matches with @Weevo540 and some others and found that amphibious was consistently messing up. When running through mud and water (rivers, big pond areas, etc.) not only was is it not mudding up at all it was not giving the speed boost either. It would randomly work and then stop working altogether. Even while mudded up it was not a perfect mud up in that when you did it was if it was right about to go out.

YOu’re not wrong. Amphibibous works at 100percent in the water body south of the map. Everywhere else where there is a little water like shins or feet deep it gives little speed improvements.
I find that the perk Fanatic gives speed boosts ONLY at 25% health. Kind of not worth it.
So instead of these things working like night and day, they were meant to be some kind of compensator during certain conditions.
You see I’d understand that and be fine with it however it just wasn’t working period. We went on large bodies of water and it didn’t even mud up at all.
oh. ok. Once or everytime? Couple of private matches you say? how about publics?
Nearly every time, you could go into a pool of water and it wouldn’t work but if you came back later it would work. I tried it later on a pub match and the same thing happened.
Have you tried modifiying removing a perk that might get in its way? What perks you using?
Ive been using Amphib for a while now just so that i dont need to mud up.I use it mainly with Dutch. Are you using any other classs?
Recon with double time, gearhead, and I forgot the third (owlf if I’m not mistaken). I haven’t tried it again after those matches. It also happened to @Weevo540.
I tried it exactly the way you mentioned it, it works for me on PC.
@MassImpact124 I also played a few private matches using Amphibious and it didn’t work properly. I would mud up on water, but there was no increase in speed. I went back to regular quick plays and it was working fine.
Again, speed only works when you’re waist deep, if youre in a small pond it works slightly less.
Most noticeable is in Back water’s Exfil lake and Excavation’s island pond exfil, and possible the river stream in Overgrowth.
I know sometimes it works, and you’ll notice the screen zooming in.
You’re not understanding man. I know exactly how Amphibious works, I use it a lot. But I’m telling you in privates it doesn’t work. I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone, but it doesn’t work for me in PRIVATES only!
