Well, it’s faster and has average stamina, but I think they’re about out of ideas for creating unique stats.
The core problem is the limited impactful variables.
Predators needed unique abilities and classes should have had wider differences in mobility and health.
Unique abilities would be things like a ten second Berserker rage that reduced frontal damage and ignores melee parries, Scout having Falconer drones that could surveil around a whole camp like a mobile motion sensor, or Hunter having a temporary poison melee buff that could drain stamina reduce healing effectiveness.
Heavy predators should have all been slower than 9 m/s. While Light predators should have been faster than 11 m/s.
Heavy predators should have had greater than 2000 hp, but damaging the predators should have had more effects like reduced speed and stun effects. Likewise for the predators, they should have been able to knock down Fireteam players and had stamina dependent grappling abilities.
It was fun for a few years, but I can’t really play more than a couple matches at a time anymore. The optimal strategies are too redundant.
I hope this is the last time I test the stats for a DLC release. They didn’t make a single change to Gameplay stats, such as my well known gripe with the damage of the SAWZ-50.
It’s time for a complete overhaul of the game or simply a Predator: Hunting Grounds 2.
