The wife and I got one. We’re experimenting with it. About half of our stuff comes out fubar, but whats good is good. Anyone have any tips on good websites to find good models to print?
Anyone do any 3d printing?
Actually yes, I don’t even have a 3d printer but there’s a website I used to check that has a lot of cool models, I’ll see if I can find it
Thanks. If its thingiverse, I’m on that one already
No it’s not that one, one of the words in its name started with g I’m pretty sure. It’s not grabCAD either
Well, if you remember it, post it here please and thank you.
Noice!!!
Godzilla turned out ok. I had to basically sculpt his arms with hot glue as they were kinda stringy for some reason.
You should do a predator mask in the 3D printer then paint it, they have a bunch of templates for it and to make it wearable
I’m currently looking for Predator figurines to print. I don’t think our printer could do a full sized mask. I mean maybe, but I doubt it. We still have a lot to learn. Everything we’ve done thus far has been fairly small and it takes a long time. Godzilla is only about 2 1/2" tall and took over 10 hrs.
Still cool tho
Printed a couple full size masks from that thingiverse or yeggi website (can’t remember which one it was)
What printer do you use? And were they printed in multiple pieces?
I use the anycubic predator 3D printer (think they call it anycubic delta now due to “predator” licensing issues), it’s got a decent size build platform, printer itself stands about a metre tall. I did print in two sections for the white mask, the seam is across the eye port just under the laser in the pic. The grey one I printed in 3 parts as I was worried it would get to the top of the mask and I’d run out of gantry height (I’m still learning how to measure the prints up) so yeh just printed the top of the mask in two sections plus the third piece being the complete jaw section if that makes sense and glued it together.
