I was expecting the free content update with some game fixes and Arnie tapes to be out by now but May 26th is only 7 days away and the free update still isn’t here. Based on their timetable, If Illfonic decides to go this route we could potentially be in a world of hurt where it would take them at least one month to fix existing and new issues from each DLC that crops up. How many people actually stick around that long with game breaking bugs?
Anyone else concerned with the long patch cycle?
So monthly isnt the worst I could see but they have shown capable of hotfixes which is a concern.
They might just move it all at once with patches and content which is not a good thing right now as the current state is very iffy but if it’s solid and reliable drop, it could be a good way to schedule and give the community a way to predict and deal better.
This isnt a giant studio they cant just update the game every 2 weeks
Except when they pushed out 3 updates in 2 weeks after the game launched. They’re clearly able to keep up with the workload, this game isn’t exactly rich in content and features. But I think they’re choosing to release larger patches less often rather than smaller patches. This can lead to problems if they make some big changes that people don’t like and they decide not to revert it until the next big patch.
Smaller updates certainly could be pushed every two weeks.
exactly and even if its one small bug fix still shows they give a fuck
Some cases can have a deeper root and if you just fix one part it can break the game even more.
True.
