Anyone want to dabate PREDATOR 2s shitty TITLE CARD INTRO?

LOS ANGELAS 1997 comes on the sceen as plain document text…

Next some weird block of invisibility reveals itself but to the 2025 generation of movie goers, it looks ABSTRACT and unidentifiable,

one might think its like a worm hole tunnel that looks oddly wide, then…
PREDATOR 2 comes on the screen and it looks like an arcade CAPCOM Design…

And the a heat map comes on the screen of the LA landscape…and then that’s it.

yup. Happened more quickly than you might find on any half-assed youtube channel…
looked like a a quicky job.

After that you get into a farfetched depiction of espanic gun wielding gangs…kind of hard to get since I’ve been there and it never happened. Just some wanky disillusionment that persist through out the film.

Thats why I never really got the reality of the situation, because I understood where historically there were problems there but not like this. Considering that this idea was never popular, I get Predator 2 was was thought as a oddball parody of a reality which people knew intimately and never got as a film.

The predator 2018 is the best predator ever, this is totally not rage bait. I think the assassin predator should be canon for all predators and that we should make the jungle hunters extinct and make the super predators the baseline and the upgrade predators the new enemies of the super predators. You know what could have changed the outlook of PRedator 2?
Having an intro sequence that setups the laws of the world. What was going on that made it a hell hole of cuban warlords coming to LA. News clippings, tv news reports,
similar to the beginning of EDge of Tormorrow 2014…
showing a global warming that started since the Val Verde incident but a war brewing out of there would be an interesting result of the explosion that set warlords displaced and looking to rule other places.
They could have shown the fall and political fallout in America…etc.etc.

That would have made the rest of the story more believable and shocking.

But 1990 was a shity year for realistic movies since Batman came out. Everything else was like Dick Tracy …and Ninja Turtles. 😂
