Yeah all of them are playing pretty bad.
But despite that, they arent really wrong about how beefy all the predators are now.
Unfortunately it was a necessary evil though because before most preds couldnt do much, against a good team.
Ive spent way too much time working on a rework guide just for it to be ignored most likely. Unfortunately its too little too late because AJ is about to drop his review soon and probably destroy the game outright.
Seen a reviewer mention the game was $100 and has yet to edit that. Can definitely kill vibes with ridiculous false info like that
That is a grade A screw up right there. It doesnt even come close to that with the deluxe edition.

I don’t know that I think predators are too beefy. As you said good teams can destroy them and know how to put damage out.
They are playing too badly to judge if predators are too beefy now they forget to heal for like 2 minutes until chat reminds them let alone more advanced tactics.
They are still using the xp perks and haven’t tried to coordinate an effective team composition at all. They don’t seem to understand how mudding works they just know chat keeps telling them to mud up so they sometimes do it once at the start. They didn’t even know how med kits worked when I was in there a second ago I saw their scout drop syringe to try med kit for the first time.
I don’t think Joe and other joe have played anything besides the base class let alone have someone go support and bring supplies for the team. No recon spotters no dps scout with high fire rate secondary and on and on.
Good teams can destroy them because every other aspect of predator playstyle than rushing in and melee spamming can be easily exploited with soundwhoring, or simply using your eyes to find the predator.
The response to this, was to make the predator damage resistance significantly higher for the scout and hunter.
It didnt fix the exploitation, simply made it so that predator had a bit more health and subsequently time to work with.
Joe is trash at video games so I wouldn’t take his review too seriously. The game is pretty bad but I very much doubt Joe knows why the game is bad as he hasn’t played it enough and isn’t good enough to see where the actual flaws are.
Imagine noobs reviewing this game: “Predator too strong! This game is bullshit!”

Yeah thats most likely going to be the case, especially on this one.
But nonetheless he isnt really that wrong. But its a lot more complicated than Predator too strong

I saw the first time they played the game and wanna know what their complaint was then?
The predator isn’t really a threat…
they came back and played the game after more people figured out how to play and the complaint completely reversed so its hard to take that complaint seriously.
I think its still in their vod so people can see it and contrast the two times.

Most of today has been berzerker, combistick, for them. Top that with the fact that they are hip fire spraying pred, and not really doing objectives ETC, I can understand their frustration.
Lots of shit needs to be fixed. And hopefully they do so before they drop the first DLC, because honestly if they dont have some serious fixes in the works, then this game isnt gonna last much longer.
Sure it should’ve been $20. I won’t complain about the $40 though since it works better then fallout 76
This game is gonna be worth the price it has now probably, MAYBE ,after the 3rd paid dlc comes out, that should actually be free.
Well ima be honest, the fact that right now the first content drop is looking like its gonna be only audio logs and a fucking skin, is really depressing.
Thats why Im even more confident that the game NEEDS these balance changes soon. Otherwise its gonna die. And then even if they perfect the game, it might be too little too late as the playerbase will have died off, and finding a match will be basically impossible.

Eh, I’ve always found Joe to be an entertainer first and a reviewer last which is pretty par for the course honestly. There’s a reason “gaming journalist mode” memes exist. AVGN is another great example of this as his complaints about games mostly stem from a severe lack of understanding or an inability to use basic problem-solving skills in the game he’s shitting on which results in an entertaining but completely inaccurate review.
Overall, I think Joe has been purposefully misleading in many of his reviews (Destiny 2 was a big one) and whether he is complaining for entertainment or simply because he’s an idiot, his reviews should always be taken with a giant grain of salt.

I think its more along the lines of the fact that he just simply doesnt have the time to really delve into the mechanics and understand the intricacies of each title. I mean if you have ever watched Delrith, its the exact opposite with him. Del spends tons of time getting to know the mechanics of games, and the exploits. Thats why I was sort of dissapointed that he isnt playing with AJ right now, he would probably be showing them how to pull all the BS that pred mains had to deal with in the first few weeks lol!

Lmao just kidding it’s pitiful really. I do still have hope for the next updates because the Predator lore is big and I think that this first dlc (free and paid) is small because they’re working on the issues and bugs. The 2nd and 3rd might be the real deal. We’ll see, cross your fingers till then.
