I feel like they’re waiting to add things little by little like that to keep people interested over time
Idk about you guys but I’m dying for a little variety here, the game is fun but it’s super repetitive as it is now. It may just be taking a while to develop a new game mode or map and that’s why it’s not added yet but I think the sooner they can add soemthing new in the better, what it has to offer is getting played out as of now
Are they waiting for the monthly DLC drop to add new game modes/maps or will it be prioritized higher

Yea I’m assuming maps will be tied to the DLC altho, I hope not as tying maps to paid DLC is the quickest way to fracture a community. I think that’s what the game needs more than anything else. New maps and new FT missions/objectives. Hot take here, but I don’t think we need more modes. Dead by Daylight doesn’t have but one mode, but has lots of maps and map variations.

Yea I’m really hoping if they are waiting for DLC to release new stuff like that it’s the free DLC and not the paid part for that very reason. I really wouldn’t mind just sticking with the one mode and adding a selection of new maps- just any kind of variation would be greatly appreciated at this point lol
Maps when they do come will be free, it makes no sense to charge for them. It may be awhile though, maps take time to debug.
Payed DLC is likely to be skins/classes, although I assume we will get at least one more set of free generic characters/class to go with the next big update, likely after the four month road map is done.
I don’t think illfonic would open with Dutch and have the next three be weaker sales generators, assuming the next one is a Predator (but not necessarily the Alpha), they’ll have to be as iconic as Dutch.
My preference is City Hunter, even though he isn’t quite as iconic.
The free content is unlikely to be a city map, but could be a map variation with jungle and plenty of buildings, maybe a power plant. Something working toward a goal. It could just be Alpha, but that would be a touch disappointing. Unless the free potion is more missions.
Modes could be events, or things similar to Single Player Challenges, for earning trophies or cosmetics. Events are likely to be things that happen during normal matches as both variety and free YouTube/streaming advertising. They will likely be timed with the release of payed content. Who knows what their pipeline looks like thought.

I personally hope Maps and the Missions that come with them are Free Content that is given out, stuff like Characters are Paid Content.
I’m actually kinda surprised how close to the chest they’re playing with Microtransactions. Say that if this was really a cash grab, there would already be a plethora of Weapon Skins only available through a Paywall. Right now, only Paywall is Console Exclusive Customzation, and Dutch himself.
I hope they will improve ft quests and upgrade Ai brain. Make this game more tactical and position needed (like division 2 a little bit)

Hopefully when they announce the June DLC its a little more than a skin and some tapes. I do believe though, the only part of the DLC though that is paid for will be a character that have to pay to use his or her likeness for. I don’t think they would charge for maps, as they didn’t for F13. They have already said they wouldn’t charge for gamemodes either.

i have to disagree about maps/gamemode being free. Regardless of the logic of how things like maps or skins get implimented…I would gladly buy a large map and game mode if the alternative is buying a skin i don’t quiet care for. Think Alpha PRedator which was leaked recently. If that were a buy- i guess i would gladly just live with a free game mode. But if it were free, i’d kindly buy a new game mode.
I’m sure Ilfonic will valuate what fans are willing to buy vs what fans are willing to settle for free. COnsidering that I think people around here are REAL fans of the franchise and aren’t here just willynilly about the game.
Na hell no I would never pay for new maps. They absolutely need to be free or I and countless others will probably give up on this game. That’s how it starts. They make you pay for one thing then everything good becomes a payment. Pay to have fun. Bullshit… I already payed for the game and it is seriously lacking in all departments not including all the bugs and glitches.
Yeah, I personally don’t give a shit about being patient and waiting for a DLC, which is a part of them keeping us “interested”.
I want it now, bc the longer nothing new comes to the game, the more I lose interest tin the game, and the higher chance I won’t come back to it unless something mental comes to the game, like a city map.
I’ll pay for a new map, Idrc honestly, I just want a new map regardless.
By the middle of the summer we better have some new crazy shit, I need smthn to keep me interested.

No, in a stream or podcast they did they stated maps and game modes would be free. It could’ve been a tweet as well.
There’s literally a picture that show 4 months of DLC, we already got the first one. On said picture it says payed DLC at the top and a Free DLC at the bottom.
Just look up road map.
