agreed man. But it is for the reach not for the direction. Its consistent with “an expanded portfolio”.
I mean I’d argueu that the direction is quite nice. Sure, one could argue Badlands is bad, but to argue that Prey is bad is just being salty, imo.

Its where its at cus disney pumping money (the little that it is) just like they did star wars and marvel movies (only star wars and marvel got way more) and they killed the star wars franchise most star wars fans are gone now you just got weirdos happy cus “they see themselves” in the movies and every marvel movie feels the same as the last.
For the record the only OK things to come out of disney predator is the 1st and 2nd acts of prey and the samurai story other than that its all shit like im taking right now as im txting this. Havent rewatched any except prey like twice and the rest i can rewatch by lookin in the toilet when i go to flush.

Predators fan base isnt as big as say alien, or any other IP disney soaked up, so has their choices to ditch “predator purists” in favor of bringin in new audiences or dare i say modern audiences, worked or has it done more harm then good?
No because no new Predator film has ever really outdone the first even though the budget looks huge.
They are just trying to make coin for a franchise that has huge appeal and the fanbase grows for a variety of different reasons.
The first few pred films really hold up and still people don’t look down on the first 3 or 4.AVP was still kind of garbage in comparing aspirations for new films based on AVP alone. certainly i have mixed feelings about putting too much in one basket when the basket is too small. Can never do it justice unless a game comes out that properly addresses lore in such a horror based franchise.
