While it doesn’t excel in any particular category, it is by far the most versatile one and allows you to customize it to be very close to other classes in damage or tankyness, without sacrificing much gear

tanky build? fanatic, owlf, thick skin, you still get 10% damage passive (basically bane)
heavy damage? hammerhead, deadly, bane or lmg, bane and fanatic or reckless
explosives? hand grenades, rocket or grenade launcher, ammo bags, bane+gearhead
sniper? saw-z, reckless or fanatic, bane, hipfire… you’ll be no-scoping preds for days

Of course other classes are better, Dante and Dutch 87, but they are dlc and not nearly as versatile

I would much rather face a team of 4 assaults, than a team of 4 supports with Field Medic and double time.

Also, a skilled team of 4 Scout’s with Duelist, double time, and Thick Skin, running 101112s and sawz50 would be extremely tough to deal with.

I mean, I get it, 4 FM’s is ridiculous, but lets be honest, any team who is worth something never run those builds. Every time I encounter 4 FM’s is fucking potatoes that camp a building. Boring as hell, but not unbeatable.

Then again, most 4 assault teams are just newby potatoes who are easy to kill as well.

but 4 veteran assaults will put so much damage and pressure on you that is ridiculous

scout is a very good class, no doubt about it, but they rely on ammo crates and perma medkits because they can’t carry ammo bags or medkits. pistols are only effective at close range… never go close range unless they are bloody.

and lets be honest… most snipers in this game suck ass. most will land 1 or 2 shots at most over the course of the entire match. there’s only a handful of players that will land more than that on a constant basis

The only reason good teams don’t run FM is purely out of fairness. Ask anyone like Sam. FM is broken beyond belief and if good players like him did a Team Comp that was nothing but say 2 Supports & 2 Dantes with Field Medic on all 4 the Predator would be in an unwinnable match. You don’t see good teams running Assault over FM because Assault is better but simply because FM disgusts them enough to not use it.

I don’t think is because of that, but because the class itself is slow and boring. you don’t do a lot of damage, you have to basically focus on the mission, which is boring. let’s face it, we all want to kill each other, not do the stupid objectives. so any build that is aimed towards that is going to be boring and people will avoid it

I’ve seen them run FM on other (broken) classes. so is not the FM they are disgusted about.

Btw sam and his friends can play scout without syrette and tc and will probably still be unbeatable to most players

Dante in general.
Support Field Medic.
Recon with the Tracker Perk.

They don’t use those Classes/Builds because at their level its outright unfair to anyone to do it and just means they have no chance of losing. Only time they use it if they caught someone else trying to use it on them.

I’m calling assault the best class because of its versatility. thought I was clear when I said there are other better classes in a particular scenario, but non are as versatile and customizable as assault is

And Dante beats out Assault in versatility in every way. He is actually pay to win because his stat distribution is insane and he’s never been nerfed once. Anyone with half a brain recognizes this.

You dont really need any type of dmg boost as FT. I like to run Dutch 25 Oveseer no bane and as long as you are using Hammerhead/Sawz + 1011-12 you can still melt Predators fast, base dmg is already high, its like thinking you need fearless for the Axe.

Another day I used Support Overseer to piss off a player that had previously used Support FM vs me and it gives a big advantage to the FT.

200 Hp + giving others dmg resistance makes It too hard for Pred. At least for me, if I run Support pred is usually screwed. Its just about numbers its Very hard for a Predator to outdamage a good ft when they have Supports.

I think overseer is way better than FM, tbh. specially with teams that focus on objectives and time them correctly.

for fm to be used, you need to down them when they are close… lets face it, even a lot of veteran players don’t play too close to each other.

Should be easier to ask which FT class isnt good. I think one can run any FT class and still have a good winrate If using the meta weapons. Isabelle is the worse, the others are fine.

Assault Deadly is 20% for Assault rifles, sure, but it’s going to be extremely hard to take the supports down, even if you manage it, they’ll be getting back up with instant 120 effective Health, as long as they stay paired up.
