BO6 has parasitised the hardcore FPS crowd away from this already, and their seasonal pass formula works with player character progression for a character you never really see for yourself, nevertheless feeling personal to your FPS experience.
I don’t know what the business benefit of ignoring the call for Fireteam variety and premium options, because that essentially ignores the FPS player base
