Just as a heads up, got an email back from Illfonic support about the console audio issues.
Patch on track ‘this month’ which is a little broad, but at least it sounds like they have directly tackled some of our feedback
Now just patiently waiting
Console set to USA English plus sticking to the default Face 1 for male and female Fireteam characters has things working better for a while before they eventually bug out after a few firefights/objectives.
For the PC/PS4 veterans, this may explain why both PS5 and Xbox crossplayers are quite often silent and don’t know how to spot and communicate
Proximity chat is a little iffy on Xbox
I suspect that newcomers to Xbox and PS5 will have no idea what they are missing unless they stick to the custom build FT. The douchebag Fireteam quips and situational chat when Preds and AI are in the vicinity were strangely absent until I changed my ‘Face’.
Again, for those who missed my post earlier, Face 1 and 3 for male: douchebag chatter and chatwheel/spot functions work (for a bit) on both Xbox and PS5. After first firefight, they will work for a bit before the left side of chatwheel and spot function bug out for the rest of the match
