out of 10 game on the backwater map they are blocked 9 times, the image is frozen ! [ERROR CE-34878-0!!blue screen and I must close the game and reopen it !!! What did you do on this map to make these errors occur? !!! recompose it please !!!
leave the map as it was before please please please please please
backwater map ERROR CE-34878-0
That map sucks and it’s not the map and the new patch fixes the error quit wasting time of people here with junk
you are wrong does not correct the error, why don’t you try to write well ? instead of writing junk
Really then why hasnt anyone else posted crash crash crash today, maybe you ought to check for an update
Not to be a dick, but lots of people are still reporting this bluescreen error after the 2.03 patch.
Idk I have played for going on 17 hours today without a bug, but I deleted my old save some people may still think the fix means there old custom loadout save is fine when it isnt they dont want to spend the time to reset that stuff but they may have no choice from my thinking
The strange thing about it is that I only have the error in the backwater map, in the other maps the error has been corrected, in the backwater map I always play with the equipment ¡ support! , on the other maps I play with the equipment¡ assault!
I think the translation is not very good when I have written the type of equipment that I have on each map
Nobody knows for sure, but there’s a possibility it is more to do with the recent Sony software update than anything illfonics end. Both happened around the same time, so it’s tricky diagnosing the problem.
For sure and super frustrating
It’s okay, the translation is clear enough for us to understand 👍🏼
If Sony, in the end, would be responsible for all these bugs and crashings experienced the last days with Illfonic - why does NO other game (at least none that I play) show such a mass of new bugs/crashes at the same time?
Sorry Illfonic, no harm ment, but the real problem is most probable a bad underlying software DESIGN - at least in parts of the SW. One example everyone can check out - the user data file seems to be in a packed proprietary format (at least it is not plain on PS4).
If any Illfonic guy wants to comment this - I really would be interested, if the user data file just is the binary version of a structure (or a class or alike)?
If you wonder whether this is a good or bad idea and you do not trust my words, please have a look at companies which do not have such problems - on a far, far bigger scale. E.g. have a look at Steam. Config files generally are plain ascii there - human readable and hierachically structured. By the way: the whole internet is XML based. Some clever people did that…
For those who are no programmers: XML generally is downward AND upward compatible. Neither deleting nor adding entries would lead to crashes - supposed that the underlying programming is clean!
Obviously I do not have access to the Illfonic code, so this admittedly is just my guess, but from the kind and quantity and frequency and so on of experienced errors, I would say most of them could be avoided by good SW design.
Pervasive object oriented design, consistent use of concurrency locks alike semaphores, a good mixture of synchronous and asynchronous design (the latter from my POV could solve more than half of the errors I experienced) and so on…
But please do not be pissed off - I definitively have great respect for the task Illfonic has to handle and the work they do. Crossplattform, multiprocessing and such a deep -state of the art- game design is really a huuuuge task. Keep on!
what you have written is very good,
the only thing I did is what I said before, in the backwater map I always play with the equipment support! , on the other maps I play with the equipment¡ assault! I deleted the game save data 5 days ago and then I updated, I rebuilt my equipment, according to the maps, but the errors in the backwater map continue
@knuckingfuts: Wonder how you managed this - as long as I play this game, there was NO day without a bug. Admittedly there were days without crashings - yes. By the way: today I had two deadlocks - some people would call that a crash :) And deadlocks ARE bad SW design, right?
The new patch is better but far from bugless. Maybe some people just do not want to repeat that fact all the day… At least I am quite happy, that the game does not crash regularly anymore :) But just god knows how often I really was near quitting the Predator Hunting Ground player list.
I actually got it on derailed right now
