I noticed that balaclava glitches during the game. It looks normal in the menus but not in the game. I used it here as Dutch:
It also happened with my other character. I have the game on PS4.

I can confirm this glitch for PC as well.

yeah I have the same issue for the load out but when I am in game play my soldier looks normal

Yeah! I noticed that too. Dyshz, you said during gameplay the balaclava mask looks normal? How can you tell if you can’t see yourself. Don’t think I’ve seen any mirrors either lol. But for real, how did you confirm that?
It’s glitched for me too.
It’s punishment for putting stupid items on Dutch’s head. He isn’t meant to wear mask, hats or bandana’s. He finds them offensive and they ruin his expensive, masculine hairline 😝

All full head covers are affected and have been for a while. There’s a similar clipping issue with hats and hair too.
They have yet to fix either.
