I can hear FT and AI’s just fine, so I don’t use detection.

You can throw motion detectors at beartrapped players for add effect! No where in the history of hunting wild game do you ever leave a trap around to tell you a rabbit was there and then it makes noises for the rabbit to hear where you’re in some other neck of the woods. Sounds counter productive.
Never have I ever used motiondector ever. I used it probably once just to test out. You might as well throw tin cans tied together. It does the same job.

bear traps can guarentee kills at reinforce by just throwing them when “Fireteam Reinforced” appears on your screen so anyone saying motion detectors are better is just trolling
Wrist launcher is best.

Who needs the plasma caster when you have the wrist launcher, it’s the only weapon I use. If I run out of ammo before the FT is dead then I end it right there.

I used to use motion sensors a lot but don’t really need em anymore
Bear traps I don’t have much experience with but I’m working out my strategy with these (they make great decoys!)

A little off topic, but I can’t believe they banned Yuppers and not this guy yet.
On topic, it seems my suspicious are right. The Pred motion detectors are not very useful. I find the bear traps essential because they: cover your escapes, can be used at reinforce/downed FT, and are useful for wasting their ammo.

I actually like running Motion Detectors but not for their intended use.
If Im against a weaker team, or a struggling team.
I usually spend my time Hurling them across the map to see if I can nail all four members in one.
Useless, absolutely.
Only time I find good use is if their hiding in buildings the whole time.

Banned means you can never return
Suspended means you can return after a set amount of time
which is how often? I certainly don’t want Illfonic to keep a useless item for the chance activity of campers.
I mean we (as a community) want to nail something down here. But if everyone is posting with some odd un reliable creativity its not likely this ITEM of choice is going to be rectified with some kind of functionality that seems useful unless we say somethin about it.
I mean, imho, Motion Detector should be merged with Audio Decoy because it just seems logical.
One does something psychologically applicable to the game (audio decoy), the other just tells us the SKY IS BLUE.
the Motion Detector (if you can even remember where it was deployed) is a more detailed way to Isolate A Target if Target Isolation is either to quick and unreliable for the time that TI works. So having Motion Detector only just wastes a valuable Gear slot if one finds Target Isolation to be too unreliable.
And even still I dont’ recall Motion Detectors actually showing you anything except TEXT on the screen and by the time you get to the location, FT is long gone!
And deploying multiple MDs fucks shit up doesnt it?

That’s true I get that.
But as far as how often.
Depends on allot of things.
As followed: From MY Day to day gaming.
I play maybe 5 matches with wait times of 3-5mins.
3-4 of them will have campers if I play on the Weekends before 4:00PM with my Bow and Caster.
That’s usually most kids either not understanding how to play, or a new player by any age.
But Weekdays I play after 7:00PM to 11:0PM, and I get 0-1 match of Campers.
But those are when the night owls are on PC, at least what I’ve noticed.
I also expect ALLOT of camping out of PS4 accounts.
And this is all from my experience so far playing the game.
Like even today Im playing.
And Im running motion detectors cause I know somewhere there is a match about to be nothing but squatters.
I’ve already had 2 so far my expectations are low but they haven’t changed yet.
But I love the idea of pushing for joined equipment and or maybe just giving the motion detector maaaybe something special to make it WORTH really running.
Yet, I personally don’t want them breaking the game.
They should probably patch more bugs first.
Than worry about the motion detector. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
