Berserker (Mr Black) August paid DLC speculation.

So, as most of us players already know from the datamined screen shots, that the Berserker or Super Predator shoulder “gatling” cannon is in the files, along with AVP Scars cannon.

With the info we’ve had recently regarding the 2.0 patch next week, we know the FT is receiving some overdue love, and I’m pretty content with what’s coming. I usually play a lot of Pred, but occasionally dabble in some FT now and then too, so I’m looking forward to the new toys coming next week.

The reason I think it might be the Berserker is mainly because of these following reasons:

  1. FT focused free content drop 28th with new gadgets.

  2. We will probably have numerous fixes and balances made on both sides to address the new items (hopefully)

  3. To make it an even playing field, the Pred may also have a new gadget with the paid DLC. I’m going to go with the leaked “Falcon” drone. (Equivilant to the UAV scanner device)

  4. Predators usually hunt in threes. Three new masks in next weeks update. Falconer, Berserker and Tracker maybe, as the have a similar armour and body design.

  5. This could also be a hint to the new “mode” with the new map coming in September. It could possibly mean 3 Predators against multiple FT members (which would be epic)

So yeah, speculate away. I’m pretty sure that’s the way were going. I could be completely wrong, but with the current changes coming next week, and the hint of the paid August DLC being a “good one”, then I can only assume it’s the Berserker or Super Predator Pack, which will include some new items to counter the new FT items. Maybe even a gatling style Plasma casta. One can hope I guess lol.

Well it would be pretty epic. I can see the intro screen for the Predator now in my head on the new map…all three players decloak and walk up to the screen, in a similar style to the scene from AVP, with the lead Pred taping his wrist computer haha. That would be epic haha.

We shall see. I re watched Predators the other day, and it’s a really decent film and the Berserker has really grown on me recently, so I’m super excited to get him in game.

Also with the new FT gadgets, the Pred needs something new and fresh, and the Falconer drone seems like the perfect counter to the new UAV scanner. Also, if there adding in an anti cloak grenade, then maybe the patch will include some welcome changes to how cloak works in general. Maybe they’ve improved it so much that the FT “needs” a decent device to counter with it.

Loving this thread, didn’t even catch onto the three masks thing. To further stir the pot, you can even argue it could be Scar/Chopper/Celtic if the Scar files are actually Scar and won’t be Scarface.

I hope there will be no more predator dlc, but only fireteam for a while. The game without fireteam player will stuck to 10/15 mins wait time. When Dutch came out, wait times were 2/4 minutes for 2 entire weeks. That are the content we need, for fireteam (since we got also 4 predator in a raw…).

I think your speculation is decent but this line is wishful thinking. I highly doubt they would force a new meta. If cloak works so well you need the grenades, then it’s to powerful without them.

I’m still not sure which I want more, but I think it’s more likely to be a Predator for the payed dlc.

Yeah I guess having cloak improved is definitely wishful thinking for sure. Will have to wait and see what fixes they’ve made to the game I guess.

@Arrow_calis I agree, we do need more FT characters. An OWLF character would be awesome etc, but I’m going with another Pred purely based on the datamined files, and by the items that are being released for the FT. Having so many goodies like the UAV scanner and anti cloak grenades, makes me think that they will add another Pred with some gadgets to rival the FT.

@Xenomorph_2099 Yeah I did originally think of Scar and crew from AVP, but with the UAV scanner and the Flacon drone in the files, I think Berserker fits the bill a little better.

I figure we won’t get any pred classes until October with August, & September being focused on FT. The FT needs some love, I play mainly pred but when I play FT it’s so boring especially since I win most of my matches but it’s usually always the same way.

Nothing for FT is in the files besides Dutch 87 which is next months DLC.

If that’s the case then expect pred que times to be 15-20+min as the standard for the next couple of months. Even though I prefer to play as pred the FT need some serious love DLC wise.

well yeah specially when we can assume the new game mode will require at least 5 FT perhaps more if there are more than one team and 2 predators maybe 3

which remember that game mode will split the player base between the 2 modes making que times longer for the entire game

there will probably never be 8min que times ever again once the new game mode goes live

You are correct on thinking that way. I believe if they add the new mode it has to have all the maps and will most likely replace the basic hunt mode as being the most played mode

The major problem with HUNT is that it’s too fucking short for how long you sit in que

True I guess. Maybe one of them is the mask Dutch has on his shoulder. Who knows at this point, unless the third mask is the damaged jungle hunter mask. Literally just speculating at this point, and they could be all new unique masks!
