The funny thing is that the actual, genuine plot of that retarded movie, is that a Predator comes to earth to give humans a suit to fight predators (bear in mind that this Predator goes on a rampage killing humans), and then another 11 foot tall Predator chases the smaller one to earth, kills him, and then tries to kill a little boy to steal autism. And then give autism to other Predators. I could go on about this Trainwreck of a movie but the video @Durbs2001 posted above represents it better🤣
Is there any way to re-interpret this movie in a way that stays true to the canon and makes at least some sense.
For example, the experimental armor was referenced by keys in Predator: Hunting Grounds, but it can be dismissed as a useless, brittle, energy intensive Prototype.
My own interpretation could be that both of these predators were failed experiments. The predator with human DNA was weaker than typical predators, and the bullet proof predator was unintelligent and lost the desire to collect trophies choosing to steal the child as a snack for the flight home, and the translation about the hunt and the “true warrior” was wrong.
Not a bad idea man. I personally just completely disregard all of this as possibly being canon😂 and hope for a sequel to Predators 2010 after we get the Prey prequel this year😂. The only good thing about this movie was Fugitive Predator smackin the shit out of the Stargazer operatives when he was escaping😂 everything other than that is just a facepalm to say the least

Ok here goes:
Some high profile clan on yautja prime has a monopoly on genetic engineering leftover from the Amengi era. Genetic space race begins. Classic preds scattered to the stars after a civil war classic’s did not have the resources to win because Shane Black rewatched Transformers & needed a reason for preds to invade earth. PHG’s also heavily pushing invasion rhetoric when they could have done away with it. So Predator is transformers now but whatever.
Fugitive desperately needed some autism to get the stolen prototype suit functional and committed grand theft auto to do so, the whole ship was stolen if im remembering right. Upgrade wanted the autism because gene monopoly even though he was there to kill Fugitive and retrieve the stolen car in full. Even his dogs were pred mods and that has frankenstein implications as to wtf is going on there. You could say maybe they collect eachother as genetic buffs too but nope he killed fugitive and left him in the parking lot so ???.
All because Fugitive was being a dumbass and got kidnapped with elephant tranquilizers while he was busy skinning people for no reason. Maybe he was looking for autism amongst the soldiers.
But I expect the autistic kid to return to the franchise anyday now with a beta test pred suit if Disney sees any value in it.

The key to understanding Shane Black’s films is disregarding the execution entirely and just looking at the storyboard.
because his films are all half finished storyboards executed horribly with varying levels of producer interference. If you can read between the directors terrible ideas and the studios terrible ideas you can kind of see what they were steering towards.
now we have genetic super soldier arnie so this is probably a constant theme now. Thats if he’s ever referenced outside this game anyways.
Iron Man 3 made even less sense.
I would rather see various predators throughout history. Might depend on if PREY is a complete shitshow.
They pushed too hard for continuity already, seems like they’re not a fan of standalone pred movies.
I already expect Prey to tie back to Billy for no reason at all.
Esp when everyone was like “Billy you know something what is it?” They couldn’t even make Stargazer not related to the cast of P2 in some form.
It’s like Star Wars at this point, everyone’s related.
