Best game I've had yet...

No real reason to this post apart from to share the best experience I’ve had on this game so far.

Matchmaking put me in a lobby with me as a Pred and just 1 FT guy on PS4. To my surprise, he green ticked and I thought ah, why not…let’s just play.

Most. Authentic. Experience. Ever.

I found him and decided to stalk like in the films. I watched from afar in the trees, sat examining them doing the missions, fight AI. I would occasionally say “over here” etc. Make noises. Mimic. Deliberately changing vision so he could see the eyes. The whole shabang.
It was really cool watching someone look around, back into a corner, genuinely have fear about what might happen.

They eventually finished the missions and called the chopper. So I sneaked around, whipped out the bow, and finished him off instantly with a headshot - taking my trophy with the longer animation.

Whoever you were, I hope you enjoyed the experience of being hunted as much as I did setting the scene.

Made me realise if the stealth and hunt mechanics could find balance, it would be one helluva game!

Might have been me. I thought fuck it, at least i get xp and a fun experience lol. But i’m sure this has happened to many others.

How is it fun to have a pvp match where you know the other side can’t do anything to win and not because of the skill level, because of game mechanics.

I never looked at the name, I wish i had. Was actually the most fun honestly.

I played a game straight after with a full premade and got spotted every time i got near without fail and they literally hunted me. Stark contrast and highlighting how it shouldn’t be lol

Ah, it was just more of a one off role playing match. The other guy might have hated it - who knows. But i tried my best to make it an authentic experience. I could have just ran in and smashed him after 2 mins… 🤷

Could of been me if it was PC, i’ve had like 7 games today as Pred and all of them i’ve been playing the role of movie predator against ps4 fire teams.

Haha yeah. I try my best to play like you, but its hard with them spotting so much. Still trying to get better at it tho. And i have to say that the matches are too quick. Should be at least 25 min rounds. And if the rescue chopper could be shot down it would surely add tension.

Keep at it. I main hunter with bow and combi. But usually bow and plasma, dithered lense and sound traps etc. Don’t wanna be that 'zerker that runs in with combi. Definitely means if it’s a good skilled premade you will most likely be screwed, but much more fun against the casual jump in/jump out gamers.

I guess it depends what region you are my man and what the ping would be. I’m in New Zealand.

Norway here. Im usually at 16-80 ms depending on location. I got a 330 bit line

I’d be surprised if you weren’t around 250 ping here and vice versa. I’ve got 1gb downloads but it’s travel distance latency, not how much data can be downloaded latency. There will always be a lengthy delay playing with people from opposite ends of the world.

Happy to try 😜 just might be setting ourselves up for disappointment as one of us would be warping all over the place 😂
