It’s a toss up between analytic and stalker. Both have their pros and cons but overall I would say that analytic is slightly better. Yeah against the best of the best you’ll be hard pressed to be able to scan them but with stalker you have to be consistently on the move which gives you little time to capitalize on the ranged damage. With analytic you may be able to catch someone off guard and then it’s a permanent damage boost on that player.

Analytic.
Stalker depends on your stamina bar being full. Tracker doesn’t boost any damage. Fervent is second best but it only works for the first down (or is that bugged and it stays active?). Disciplined would have been brilliant, but they blew it, because you still make a lot of noise while using it. Ghost is good for hit and run, but we all know melee is a bad approach. Analytic has a continuous damage boost for all scanned targets, and it lasts the entire match.

So if you get a scan and your mask gets destroyed and they mud up you still get the damage boost?

Yes. As long as the names on the right side are present and the symbols are full, they count as “scanned”.

Is analytic bugged? I assume it’s because it’s permanent instead of only when the diamond pops up however, based on how it’s described (fully scanned targets) it reads to me as the targets name on the right hand of the screen that only appears when someone’s been fully scanned.

It is.
You only need to scan FT once and they can even die and come back and you’ll still deal that extra dmg from the spec. It’s broken.

I don’t think is bugged.

Fervent I’ve used for a while now and don’t feel is bugged either. And with the support damage reduction, it is more than fair that these specializations work the way they do.

Tracker is overrated IMO. I can find FT easy without even using thermal vision. Just use your ears and you’ll hear what location they are, or follow dumb AI running towards them.

Tracker is more of a thing to prevent the reinforcements. If one is good with disk and has good ping he doesn’t need the dmg boost from a spec. Disk + tracker + medic + large pouch is a meta combination.

Stalker + Lens + Plasma on Elder works well but more of a meta on day maps, Analytic should work the way it does otherwise it would be pointless, scanning a premade even once is already enough work.

I’m still waiting for the proof that Fervent is or was ever bugged, nobody ever posted video evidence testing that, while I have matches showcasing the dmg boost went away after the first kill.
