With the importance of cosmetics in the game, I think everyone’s distinctive looks should be put more on display.
Right now, the cosmetics you collect and pick from are pretty much only clearly visible to yourself in the customization screen and main menu (while you’re being chocked by the Predator.)
The only brief moment you can see what your fellow fireteam members look like are a couple quick shots in the helicopter (mostly lit in red) and then the brief moment you all touch ground.
Most of those are showing off your own character anyway, which if great 'n all, but you pretty much know what you look like since you dressed yourself to go out on the mission. :)
(Oh yeah- Needless to say, no one ever has a clear look at what other members look like during the game since we’re all too busy dashing around, mudding up and well… not getting killed.)
That’s one thing Red Dead Online did very well. When you went off on a multiplayer mission with several others, they showed you this posed groupshot that showcased yourself and your temporary crew nicely…
Not only would a group shot like that be a neat way to show off your collected cosmetics to other players, it would instantly evoke some sort of unit camaraderie.
Maybe if they get to know you, players won’t be too quick to leave you behind when the going gets tough!:)
Last but not least, I think it would also be incredibly cool to have an extra aftermath cutscene in the chopper, in which you would clearly see which fireteam member(s) survived the Predator’s onslaught.
Pretty much like one of the final shots in the original movie- with an exhausted Dutch, bloody and caked with dry mud…
