If you get the chance watch all the blade runner movies first then the Prometheus and new Alien movie and lastly the original alien series in that exact order. Lol thats the sequential order
Watch them on blu ray or 4K because trust me it’s waasaaaaaaaaay better. I see things in Blu-ray that I never saw in dvd and I have 20/20 vision lol

Hot take but I liked 2049 more than the original blade runner.
As for AvP being canon to alien Ridley Scott hates avp with a passion. But he also George Lucas’d the franchise with terrible black goo ideas and stuff no one cares about and killed all the mystery behind everything to shoehorn in some philosophy so who knows. I think he’s just old.
