Boggles the mind to think who designed the new game mode

You really think they are going to fix the matchmaking in a patch or 2 when they failed to do so from launch? Do you think in a patch or 2 they are going to add backfilling? I don’t…

Yah i think that, corona is almost over and stuff, well vaccine is almost perfected and in distribution so people can return to their normal lives with no stress and stuff.

But then again yeah i think they will now switch to high gear.

What I think is the problem is that it feels like there is no polish.

No Intro sequence, not even a music que to start the game.

No big feedback when you kill someone. Even when you killed the AI there was noticeable chomp sound. Predator doesn’t even make a noise when it dies.

The game just ends with defeat or victory. Very abrupt, no end sequence or cutscene with the predator and Fireteam at the end.

I feel also by the pace of things and utilitarian nature of the mode it was designed for a ‘Competitive’ fast pace play to encourage a E-sports following.

It’s not bad but more meh. Would have preferred the same mode, but the predator player starts out as a third party team and whoever kills the predator becomes the next predator. Also slower paced more tactical gameplay, it feels like you only use 1/3rd of the map in each round which makes the samey 4 maps feel smaller than they should. No mudding up, pigs or stealth either.

Damn it’s like their “fans” threw a hissy fit demanding a new game mode, so they rushed out a new game mode and it’s ofc not good enough

Exactly man. Its so low quality… Its a major let down.

@PaperChamp If I remember right the new game mode and map was promised by the devs since the game got launched (or something like that). Then people started taking guess as to what that new game mode would be. I’ve seen quite a few great ideas around here.

Honestly, I don’t see this game mode taking more than a month to develop in Unreal. There are presets in the Unreal marketplace for these kinds of game modes.

As a tryhard franchise fan, i can confirm that not all lovers of franchise are against the new mode.

Its good content for those who want more of team deathmatch instead of just hunt.

Which means now they can now focus on about new mode or map variation… so far people want night more, rain.

Yes this is a mode that’s just a king of the hill asset flip that just spawns players around a laptop & probably took 1 month to put together + balance perks for (albeit im surprised they balanced perks)

However I prefer clash to an AvP rehashed pred hunt 100%. Putting the pred on the FT side opens up waaay more options for gameplay and FT actually compliments preds damage nicely & every little bit of damage matters. And pred vs pred looks great, absolute highlight of this game even without any actual game mechanics supporting it at this point in time.

Boy! Are people like you in for a rude awakening.

Anyway. It’s a lazy and uninspired team deathmatch mode. If they put any more than a few days into its development. I’d be embarrassed as a developer. Then again. It took them more than half a year just to release another jungle map. Either way. It’s pathetic.

I think it’s safe to say that most of their efforts went into churning out DLC characters.

This ball of sunshine is back, why are you here? Atleast ride the elevator into the caves before you start being a tumor. Imagine whining about Excavation.
