The QR4 is a cool looking gun and I have lots of skins for it but zero reason to ever choose it. Most of the guns in the game have pros and cons to them like the basic shotgun is worse in every way but does way more damage.
The QR4 is worse in every metric and now with the inclusion of the Hammerhead it’s toally useless even more so as the hammer head has the exactly same stats but more damage and a grenade launcher.
Give players a reason to choose the QR4

I think it’s the first AR you get.
It’s based on M4 and it is the first Carbine players have access to. It has less damage than other assault riffles and less effective range but has good mobility, ROF is ok, and really good accuracy.
What’s the point of good accuracy when it has the shortest range and the lowest damage of any other rifle?
But any plus you consider that to be is now rendered obsolete by the hammerhead which has the exact same stats except for higher damage and a grenade launcher thrown in so it’s 100% useless.
Accuracy and range are the fakest stats in this game OP. Utterly meaningless sans minigun.
You say that until you try shoot at a predator in a distant tree with a rifle with bad range. ;)
Except I can headshot the sniper across the compound in his little snipers nest with a shotgun because the hit lands right at the center of the reticule regardless of distance. Which is unheard of in any game in this era but I digress. There’s practically no bulletspread in this game, just use the LMG and spray it into trees with its 7 second time to kill at a distance on a zerk with its “bad range.” Stat bars are meaningless lol.
Fireteam weapons don’t have niches they’re just a couple that are completely overtuned direct upgrades, which means you’re gimping yourself playing with the starter AR. It’s like running a pistol as your secondary when the next option is an SMG with an extended mag that kills three times as fast. The only guns that actually have cons are the minigun and weapons that have to be reloaded too often to get their damage out.
Imo the first assault rifle is ok. I’m 100 and I play most of time with it. All weapoms seem decent ,besides the special ones.
