Bow can be held at full charge, why not plasma caster?
They both auto release, bow has a longer draw time but also auto release.
The buffed it to 10 seconds more for holding.
The plasma caster (shoulder) its way more powerful and probably for balance sake you can’t hold it as long. Also unlimited ammo, bow has limited ammo.
Valid points, i just would love to be able to have those 10 seconds to line up plasma.
I think the bow and and caster could use a small charge meter or something to gauge when its gonna let loose.
It’d be a nice addition that could solve the charge frustration because people can literally see "Oop almost time, and learn its timing more.
Assuming it’s a quark-gluon plasma the inherent instability involved in created such a high energy field probably auto discharges for safety of equipment and predator. /s
You can get pretty close with just the sound of the plasma. I wanted a progress bar before the patch to gauge a full charge…now that it takes 2 full charges to down someone(unless they decide not to heal for whatever reason), I would settle for even 5s of hold time.
