I confirmed you can destroy one but needs to be shot before it becomes invisible!
Took one out with my XDB-12 Shotgun in one shot from like 2 meters away. You should do it once it lands and you have like 1 second before it becomes invisible.
It then becomes industructable because i found another that pred just layed out and waited too long.
