Buff FT nerf pred

This is what’s wrong with this game regarding balance. The retarded abilities of the FT paired with non existent pred damage output (and melee tracking with point blank strikes simply not registering). Oh, and four minute missions.

Come on Illfonic, stop cradling the FT’s balls. The next update better have some serious balance fixes. This is why day 1 players like myself don’t really play anymore. The CLEAR trend of this game has been constant FT buffs paired with pred nerfs. You just cater to cry babies who don’t want the predator to damage them. It’s pathetic.

When this game came out, one of the main criticisms was how easy to kill the predator was. Imagine if those people stuck around long enough to see it now.

Which they didn’t.

@Thescoutpredmain you miss this game yet? 😅 Your final video comes to mind here and the game is 10x worse now with specializations and rocket launchers and pred spotting proximity sensors

It looked like that fireteam had some experienced players and I feel like I recognize some of those names.

The sickle can get pretty annoying to use. I remember using it against you guys one time but it wasn’t enough lol.

Oh they knew what’s up, no doubt about it. This is a great example of how one sided the game is when it’s played correctly by FT. Pred has very little chance, especially when the entire mission is in one fucking camp with cover everywhere right where the reinforce is FFS. That’s sloppy design and stupidly one sided. That’s my issue: the game is fucked in every fundamental way. It needs a series rework that goes beyond nerfs and buffs.

For these types of fireteams, the key is pressure. You have to apply a lot of pressure and secure a claim early on. I feel like you could’ve played a bit more aggressively against them.

I get what you’re saying though, there needs to be some balance changes in the next patch. I’m hoping that they get rid of field medic and the damage boosting perks for both sides.

I would say put it back to before the specializations. FT had just gotten UAV and cloak gernades, and pred cloak got the buff (which they took away in last patch). I think that combined with keeping the smaller energy consumption from full charge caster shots and buff to modified reserve would put balance in a good place.

The specialisations are completely unnecessary, I have no idea why Illfonic added that to the game.

I like how they buffed modified reserves. It would be cool if they buffed some of the predator’s other non-damage perks like that.

As a concept I think specializations are cool. But for BOTH sides. And NOT with insane stacking damage buffs. They were so poorly implemented I can’t believe they were tested.

Been playing since beta, I’ve seen this game evolve. Pred health has been buffed for all classes across the board recently and only a few specializations should be looked at other than that the games relatively balanced imo.

They actually didn’t though the armor was debunked days after it came out the new predator armor actually does nothing for any predator So in fact FT damage has mostly increased since this game came out while Predator damage output has decreased or stayed the same

the only thing they did a while ago was all the heavy preds got a little bit more stamina but then their stam regen was gutted so it doesn’t really matter

As a Veteran player and Predator this is what you should do

  • Find reinforcements.

  • Set Traps around it.

  • Tag F.T, so even without heat vision (cuz your plasma blasting them), you can still track them within range.

  • Go for the one who separates from the pack, I saw plenty of times you could have done that with your melee but you just jumped around trying to hit them with your bow.

  • And you could still get them when they try to escape to the chopper by harassing them with plasma cuz they will be under fire or by setting traps if they hide, so if they go to the chopper they will get trapped and you could have meleed them, especially since you had your sickle.

They took the cloak buff away? WHY!? It make FT more fun to play as and against. There was literallt zero downside to it.

This and so much more. Then you have players who love to play ft and challenge Pred mains but give them restrictions and then play 4 Field Medics.
