Buff FT nerf pred

I have no regrets lol

Have you seen the changes since you left? FT buffs galore. Think you’ll try it again once a new map and mode is released?

First 2 bullets here are key, to add to it: net gun. Completely negates the parry and the FT hates it so much XD

You can and WILL!!!

Are you gonna clean up the mess?
XD lmao

I just wanna say that if the Predator gets buffed too much, no one will want to play Fireteam because it’ll be a boring one sided match. What people fail to realise, is the Predator is out numbered to start out with, 4 Vs 1, isn’t good odds, but even then the Fireteam is far outnumbered by the Ai, and that’s where the strategies come in, use the Ai to your advantage and use Audio Decoys, most of us play with atmospheric headset’s, so it’s uber easy to pinpoint your location, with Audio Decoys involved it annoys the hell out of FT. And your jumps are too predictable from what I’m seeing, sure Predator gets melted by pre-mades because they’re communicating better than public groups, the game is catered to public groups and due to that fact, the Predator still has the advantage on that, it’s easier to fool people in public matches. So just try to stay calm, both sides have crap atm.

Here is one of my older ideas that I think might help balance the game:

Progressive In-Match Damage Adjustments

Fireteam:
-4 people, nerf damage A LOT so that the average players MUST work together to sw/kill pred.
-3 people, give a slight damage buff that puts ft somewhere between where they are now and 4 person, so they have to continue to work together.
-2 person, buff to where FT DPS is currently.
-1 person, buff knife damage slightly, use Last Man Standing.

Predator:
-Specializations similar to FT but based for pred.
-As health goes lower, damage goes up (base stat for all preds, is reset when pred heals).
-Once mask is removed, the pred gets an increased damage buff, this is a “rage” state, it wears off when 1 fireteam member is left (can come back on if FT is reinforced). If the last FT member is camping/hiding a small pulse similar to target iso will appear in their general direction.

Just an old idea I had, I think it would work well for balancing both sides.

I feel like the game was almost close to being balanced prior to the introduction of specialisations. The problem with nerfing FT damage is that the potatoes that go on quick play are going to get slaughtered too easily by good predators. FT damage is only a problem when you’re dealing with a good group of experienced players or a premade team.

Also, I don’t think the predator needs specialisations. More unique perks would be enough.

Your ideas for the fireteam sound cool and would definitely balance things when you’re facing a premade though.

Yeah, that was an older idea back when specialization were dropped and I just copied and pasted. Now that FT has been slightly nerfed and Pred buffed, I would say make when you have 4 people make it so you really only need 2-3 average members to wind pred.
Probably lower the increase in damage values from what I suggested for pred to make it evenly balanced for average players. Perhaps if a premade is detected, it gives fully what I suggested to make it more fair.

I personally would like pred specializations, but for balance’s sake maybe they are not damage increasing related, but instead change other parts of gameplay.
I would like more unique pred perks though, as 1. More variety/choice is always better, and 2. I can pick out only a handful of certain perks that actually impact gameplay in a meaningful way, it would be nice to see a more noticeable difference in gameplay depending on what perks are chosen.

In an ideal scenario, the game would balanced for both fandoms and premades, but that is unlikely to happen.

Both sides have crap?
Lol ft is pretty fine atm.

Well you gotta remember, FT is home field advantage, so it would be natural for them to be more equipped.

Sure?
But I’m looking at it more in a video game balance sense, not like the way you are.

If were going by yours tho, then technically none of these ft would stand a chance.
Going by the book that’s a prequel it shows that the best, elite predators make even dutch worthless.

Yeah, if specialisations were added for the predator, they shouldn’t be damage altering. I liked how they buffed modified reserves in one of the previous patches. They could do some more changes like that to the other perks that the predator has. The predator’s perks are so lacklustre compared to the fireteam, the pred needs way more options.

Pred just needs more cc, status effects and good traps.

Effective ways to fight indirectly.

I havent played for a long time but these private customizations finally made the job. We played with 140% hp and I was able to win 50% of my matches against the guys I was playing with during the whole period of this game. As ft I won maybe almost all of my games but at least it was super fun to die during the match and not kill the predator in 0.5 seconds. I never had so much fun in months. For pubs unfortunatly, the situation is bad but most of player dont even know how to remove traps or netgun so it’s hard to balance. Most of people bought this game to play Predator so they dont even know how ft works or team coordination works. Hope we are gonna get more stuff for range weapons and a nerf for plasma caster radius which is ridiculous and unskilled. Combi stick throw needs more damage and game needs a new mode to bring back people.

I think a detailed FT tutorial would help a lot of the issues you mentioned
