I never play as the Predator so I was wondering if destroying the Biomask does anything else besides take away Vision mode and laser targeting. Like are you still able to see where reinforcements and choppers are being called in? Or if you’ve scanned Fireteam players for extra XP is that bonus taken away?
Can Predator players confirm something for me?

No it just takes a way heat vision and target isolation.
You can still use the Plasm Cannon and it’s laser still works not sure where you got that from.
You keep your XP and you see reinforcements and if the chopper gets called but why ask when you can see for yourself?

U can use the plasma caster the laser just doesn’t show up vision mode doesn’t wrk and u can see reinforcements and chopper it’s not a huge disadvantage but enough to piss you off

Yeah I know but I’m lazy and asking here is faster. I just wanted to gauge how big of a resource the mask truly is. I know that losing Vision mode and accurate Plasma Caster targeting is huge already but losing that other stuff could give even more of an incentive to go for head shots rather than center of mass. I just wanted to see if my strategy/priorities should change when engaging at a distance.

Always aim for the head as an FT, it screws the Pred over bad, especially early in the match.

Yeah I notice we can’t really debilitate you guys in any way other than death. You can take the mask and destroy a smart disk if we are using one

It’s only bad if this team can mud up and run ur not gonna find them the whole match if there running around
Yeah and I’m not saying destroying the mask should take away that other stuff. I just assumed the only reason Predator got reinforcement/exfil chopper notifications was because his Biomask was picking up the radio waves or something like that, but that’s not the case.

I believe you take increased headshot damage without the mask.

U see the heli coming across the map to pick up the ft so I just assumed the pred assumed what was happening
