Can’t get owned as Predator

I’m trying to play hunt mode as the predator on ps4 and every time I start the search it sends me in as a fireteam member instead. What’s going on?

I was. First time it sent me to a fire team lobby, I thought maybe I hit the wrong one. Second time it happened again and I know I had it on the right option. It did it to me a third time but now I see what’s going on. When I cycle through the options on FT/Pred/or no pref. Team predator will come up sometimes without the red mask symbol. It’s those times when I search for a lobby it says team predator but sends me to fire team lobby.
