Can we get an option that allows to get full randoms?
Itâs just as frustrating to play as a FT with randoms, as it is to play as a Pred against Pre-mades. Probably more so, because as a FT, you need to rely on your teammates, a Predator is self-sufficient.
As others have mentioned, implementing something like this will just split the player base.
Youâll end up with most Predators only queuing for ârandom matchesâ, and significantly increasing the queue times for all players that want to play with even one friend.
I consider myself âabove averageâ as a FT. However my loss rate while playing with randoms (especially PS4 players) is well above 50%.
As a Predator, you might end up against a Pre-made every 1/4 games or so. I think this is acceptable.
If you only ever play against âbad teamsâ, youâre generally not going to improve.
And while it sucks getting beaten too easily. One person having a âshit gameâ is better than 4 people having a shit game.

I arrived a bit late to the party so I apologize in advance if I repeat something that someone has already said (I havenât had the time to go through the thread).
Firstly: Always nice to see someone trying to find solutions, good or bad. It is the constructive way to go.
I understand what you mean, and as playing Pred around half of my play time I can say that going up against a coordinated team can be really tough. I must say that I am afraid that it would devide the player base - suddenly you would have all those playing premades not playing with the randoms Preds. The Pred queue wait would increase even more as you would have an even harder time finding FT opponents.
I saw out of the corner of my eye that someone mentioned ranked as well. I do not believe in this either. Basically anything that splits the player base makes it hard for the match making. There are not enough ppl playing this game to make it work I am afraid.
My thought is that what the game needs is:
- Fix the bugs that causes Pred players to get trapped, hit or/and stuck and loose a shit load of HP in the process. It would make the Pred less exposed as those hectic moments when moving around.
And maybe 2. They need to narrow the area of skill. This game is frustrating as hell for new players. I would call it a design flaw. Not saying that skill should not count for something, but you better be patient and willing to learn the hard when picking this game up or else you will probably drop it: if not for all the bugs then all the times you get your ass handed to you. I would rather that every player on the map, Pred and FT, respawned after a cooldown than have to sit and wait for the others to finish the round only to queue for a new game, watch the intro again only to either kill the FT or the Pred in record time, unless you try to prolong the match which should not be on the players to start with. If you are a Pred player and think âWell, if I respawn then fuck the bomb. right?!â, then my reply is âwhy not be able to respawn after that as well, it is a kill switch anywayâ. If there were constants cool downed respawns everybody would have fun throughout the duration of the whole match and the bitterness you would face with randoms would dissapear as getting killed would not be nearly as frustrating an humiliating. Of course this idea would mean a major rework of the game so I seriously doubt it will become a reality, but I just came up with it (I apologize again if somebody has already mentioned it).
But at this point anything really meaningful that would change actual gameplay to be smooth as butter would make people be like oh que times increase⌠well yes i highly agree yes it would but on certain period⌠you see its better to do these changes earlier while the INGOT is still HOT⌠its a saying that u shape the ingot into sword when its hot before it gets cold and sturdy and pretty much the playerbase is already huge and only wants more contentâŚ
While i agree with you on this, i also have to say this changes would make the game benefit a lot in immersion, smooth gameplay, people would play it longer and get bored less⌠but while probably the side effect is longer que times ONLY⌠it wouldnt really fk up the balance really⌠it would rather be good for the game if you think about it in depth, also i see this being a thing if they can manage to pull on more map variants and make bigger maps and stuffâŚ
I see your point about change and making it while ppl are open to it. I just canât let go for the fear that if you give Pred players to possibility to refuse to play with the pre-mades they are punishing themselves in terms of getting longer waits. Of course it would then be on themselves, so yes, if they accept that then it would be OK I guess.
Regarding my second idea about respawning then I beleive that balance would not be as much of an issue as it is now, if implemented. Not saying that the balance discussion would go away, but the lvl of frustration would probably decrease. It would actually be interesting to see how the queues would turn out⌠There would still be longer waits for Pred games, but in overall I think it would be more fun for the players as they would waste less time waiting long for the risk of short match.
One thing is sure. Something has to happen! Skins with different stats a fun, for a while, but only works for a short time. And if they drops something for the Pred they HAVE to drop something for the FT that is equally fun, if not more, at the same time not to mess of the queues.
