It seems that the game won’t let me invite Steam friends, but rather I have to invite them using their Epic account even though they’re playing on Steam? This is kind of a hassle when I have Steam friends who play this and they have to create an account and install the EGS launcher just so I can invite them.

That’s odd. I know we need an Epic account to enable crossplay, but Steam to Steam as well?
What happens when you try to invite them to a game through the Steam overlay?
I still have no idea how to invite friends on steam…
Would be great when these things are implemented, if instructions or a guide was provided on how to do said invitations for crossplay.
As I said, have you tried the drop-down menu on your Steam friends list through the overlay? I’d try it myself but none of my Steam friends have the game yet.

I don’t have any friends on steam yet. Not yet.
But it would be nice when these things are implemented, if the company told us how to do it instead of the consumers figuring it out.

Yep, tried it that way. Always times out. The only way I can invite Steam friends (we’re both on Steam) is to invite their Epic account on the friends list.
