Can no longer jump in trees since (I think) the last update. The arrow appears but there’s no button prompt and I can’t leap onto the branch.
Might be related to the jumping feed/claim bug, because when I press the interact button (F for me) I leap into the tree as if I pressed jump. I definitely have these mapped to different keys.
This is… a problem…
It’s the button thats mapped to “interact” that will make you climb the trees. The butten thats mapped to “switch branch” or whatever its called in english, will appear as the button prompt at the tree’s. It just sounds like you messed up your button mapping somehow, so i’d suggest resetting it.
But the button mapping in this game is very confusing, it took me a while to create a jump, tree climb and switch treebranch setup that works better for me. But its far from perfect. (I’m on ps4 by the way)
I haven’t touched the button mapping in months and I already tried changing them after getting this bug just to be sure (there’s an option for jump/interact to be mapped to the same key and I definitely don’t have it selected).
Jumping in trees and interact have always, by default, been different keys for me. Only very recently has this started happening, right around the same time this bug that makes you jump into nearby trees when trying to claim/feed showed up, which happens to be the interact button…

I have every tree/branch/Predkour function un-mapped and can still get into a tree via interact (F) or by leaping directly into the branch.
Once in the tree, Predkour seems to activate automatically just by moving towards the branch/tree you want to Predkour too, or by using interact.
So to sum up, you can unbind all Predkour functions and still use the trees if you choose.
I did this to help stop the accidental Predkour moments.
So I went and tried changing every key related to jumping, only by setting jump/leap/interact to the same key was I able to jump into trees again, which was less than ideal… then I reset controls to default and jumping went back to normal for me, spacebar lets me jump into trees/predcore again. For some reason. So I guess it’s fixed now?
tldr if you controls go haywire after an update, reset to default I guess.
