Does anyone else feel like, especially with things like the Wrist-Launcher coming out that the Pred should have a “Use Gear” button the same as FT? On PS4 the FT uses R1 to use gear but the Pred needs to unequip their weapon and replace it with gear. If it was moved to R1 like the FT, it would open up some interesting options I think. Currently R1 is the Leap button for Pred but it would make more sense to me if the Leap was changed to holding down the Jump button, bringing up the leap trajectory thing and simply releasing the button to Leap. Thoughts?

Yes but the button that does that for Leap is a separate button from regular jump. I’m saying make it the same button (press to jump, hold to charge leap) so as to free up the other button to be a dedicated “Use Gear” button like the FT has.
Yeah it’s definitely fine as is. I just thought it would be a bit better and offer more options with less switching.
Your idea sounds interesting but all of the predators gear need to be held down and precisely aimed

Which would still work fine with the R1 button or whatever it is on PC. You just wouldn’t to unequip your weapon to do it, lol.
I can’t shoot or other attacks while cooking a grenade as FT either but at least I don’t have to unequip my weapon to do it is mostly my point here.
I’m all for being able to quickly toss or use predator equipment without needing to swap back and forth between my weapon and equipment like FT
Hell technically I have an open button slot because I bound my weapon wheel to R3 for Predator
