Change weekly challenge reward

Wanted to do a poll but can’t figure out how honestly. I did post a poll on Reddit though.

I’ve mentioned it before in comments on posts but I think maybe make it a topic for discussion. I really like the idea of having the rewards for weekly challenges tweaked. Every other week have the reward be a Red or Gold level item.

Example: Secure Predator Bodies - Reward Viking Axe Trophy.

I feel like this would really help balance que times even more permanently, encouraging more people to play FT and give the opportunity to earn rare cosmetic items that are otherwise only available through RNG loot boxes.

Or they could improve AI, mission progression, and interaction animations, so that people can just enjoy playing fireteam, without feeling forced by game mechanics.

Valid points.

Still I think the majority plays the game to play Predator, and I feel like by nature fireteam needs incentives.

Yeah. As long as items aren’t locked behind fireteam challenges, I guess it would be cool to see specific rewards.

As ridiculous as the RNG is with the loot boxes, it would be nice to have trophies unlocked through predator gameplay.

So let me get this straight. You want the reward for playing FT for a week to be a reward for the predator? Are you serious? Why would people who play FT would even try to do the weekly now? How about they give legendary rewards for the FT when doing FT missions.

What they need to do is put a lot more work into the game and give (as someone already suggested) real content that would get people playing.

So you bought the game go play as FT and hunt the Predator?

The example is what I could think off the top of my head of an item attainable only through RNG. Knives and their shaders pre-patch when they were only available through field lockers would be a FT equivalent. There are plenty of items that can apply and more can be added.

I think the trophies need to locked behind…trophies. after you claim so many FT you get one.

Yep, like Dutch. That is what I liked about the movie. Arnold beating the scummy alien. I also got it to play with a friend that quit along the way because of the abysmal content.

Appreciate it. He’s not wrong when he words it that way, it’s just wording it that way defeats half the actual idea. Honestly if knives were still done the way Pred trophies are I think it would sound like a much better solution to the RNG reward process.

Lootboxes stink. I have around 700k credits that just rot there. You can’t even open boxes in bulk.

People should play what they like and be rewarded for that. Getting people who want to go play predator que for FT just to get some items is probably not something people would call fun.

They can do something else with the preds que, its called a lot more FT content. When Dutch drops(again) I am sure you’re going to see the que dropping. The que kept going up as predator got 4 new classes in a row with new toys as FT got nothing. Its obvious people got bored of playing them.

They either need to put cool stuff inside or scrap the idea that much is certain.

The stuff you get in the box needs to stand out from the stuff you get by playing the game, not be the same.

I’ve suggested a daily for quickplay participation as fireteam like 5 matches a day thinking it would help but they don’t even reply these are good ideas though they are putting out new loot boxes that give a better chance so I doubt the viking axe and such as part of weekly’s besides since I’ve had such terrible dup rates on field lockers I’m buying everything so i really would rather not get it changed from veritanium

Yeah, so that’s going to be a recurring problem when the next one or two predator DLCs drop. Unless you want only FT content which isn’t exactly a good decision for a game called Predator.

See the thing is your perspective seems to be strictly FT, that’s fair, but you’re also ignoring literally half the game and the majority of the player base.

I agree the fireteam sorely needs more content, which we’re getting this update, it’s not always going to be like that, so I’m proposing an idea to try and help the balance when Predator gets updates, and to also encourage people not of your mindset to also play fireteam more frequently and balance out the game and ques overall, as well as provide an opportunity to earn items that are obtained on pure RNG.

I keep suggesting releasing a new FT class/weapon with each Predator. It hasn’t been long enough for them to have started doing that, so I’m trying to be patient.

I would take longer breaks between releases if they included both FT and Predator DLC

As long as it’s no more than 6 weeks.

If you think of it as a tide they control, 6 weeks is as long as they should wait between drops. It took Dbd a couple of years to figure out, you need the bump to keep people playing.

Where have I said they should give only FT content?! They’ve given like 4 predator classes in a row with weapons. FT got only nerfs. It should be at most 1 for FT and 1 for predator. What they should do is give each month something for both.

You said that you want the FT weekly to award things that are only useful to predators. To that I don’t agree with. Right now it awards stuff that can be used by both parties.
