I have been in a match with this fellow several time my ping jumps to 999 every match im in there with him .his psn name is KILLER-P_E_T_E_R.
Cheater on pa4
Im just pointing out if you see him in a match you’ll have a heads up and since this stupid site won’t let me upload vids from ps4 i don’t know how ill show it
Dont got a youtube account
For all i know your the dude i called out
I only made post to let other know this was happening if it happened in 1 match sure call it a fluke or a glitch or shitty internet but every match i’ve playes with the dude the entire fireteams’s ping is straight 999
For all you know, I very well could be (I’m not) but your evidence is paper thin.
Like i said if i had a way to show my video and screenshots i will
…but… I just showed you how to upload a video here?
If you were that concerned, you’d make an account. Literally take 2 min from your PS4
Gee, how on earth would one make a youtube account…gosh, what a tricky situation.
Just record with your phone cam
i mean it doesnt havent to be like retina eye quality video as long as u convey what u intended
it should work out as evidence
I have it saved on ps4 but thus stupid site would allow me to add it saying file isn’t supported .next time i reord with my phone
And make sure to record vertically
Barely takes 5 mins to make a YouTube account and link to a PS4
I upload vids all the time and my bugs I link youtube like my infamous quadruple insta glitch slash that downed a guy almost instantly.
Somebody explain what a ping of 999ms does? So that this thread from hell doesn’t reach a trillion posts and could have been summed up quiet easily in one simple and concise explaination to solve every damn newbies questions of long ping times and what it can do to a game!
So we don’t get more posts crying wolf and cheater or hacker or the apocolyps! BECAUSE I"M SICK OF RU-PPAUL! You goddamn queen!
Its basically a delay. Common numbers in most high quality games / good dedicated servers average around 20-40 ping. What I don’t remember is the formula to. I’m not sure if a ping = 1 milisecond or what, I think its more or less that.
Ethernet cables on a high speed connection get around 6-9 (?) Thats my average on Seige at least .
Triple digit pings and higher are indicators if high latency and whichever way it goes either you lag are a result or the other player lags as a result. Typically on dedicated server the lagger has the high ping which you get those skipping bodies or running in place/then skip issued.
Lag switching used to be a thing back in MW2 days but I don’t think it works as well or as often given pub severs aren’t often P2P hosted anymore, could be wrong about that though.
Given the demographics I’ve seen, the high ping is an probably comes from an international player which is usually how it goes with overseas PVP.
That being said, if the numbers on this game cap at 999 and don’t show more, it was probably more.
Doing the math, even off wrong numbers of 999 kinda comes out to .999 seconds.
To most people thats nothing.
To a gamer, that means everything and probably on a consistent basis over and over that near second probably stacked up to more. Again given it was actually 999 and not more (it was probably more)
or here is an idea…stop being BAD, ping means nothing, if he was shooting through a wall, aim locked, aim snapping, either side never going down after X amount of damage (life hack),or aim tracking (esp). THESE are all signs of hacking…in-doing so you have no proof…just because your ping goes up just means that THAT person is not in the same region as you. and SOMEONE ELSE is the host of the game and you are trying connect to that person…
and as for reference (I work as a c++ scriptwriter writing for games and design)
Let me add that if you’re using 2.4G Wifi, there is a tendancy to hit higher pings because of the bandwidth you might be sharing in your network. So i prefer to use 5G which gives me small ping times. Little tip for you all! ;)
