OK, We have leaks. We have the hype.

BUT.

When do you realistically think they’ll release it? Especially considering the stage of developement he seems to be at?
In which format/way?
Paid? free? Will they throw it away for something more profitable?

my opinion: It’s probably gonna be paid DLC. Not sure if it’s gonna be soon though.
These early models if I’m not mistaken were added either with the 12th of june patch, or on June the 30th. So if you take into account they’ve probably been off work for a week, they had either 20ish days OR only a couple to work on it. In the second scenario, not very likely it’s releasing before late Aug-September I think.
Ofc I’m all for being surprised

It’d be hilarious if when they do release him he’d only be available to those that originally preordered the game and have JH.

The hype is there, I think he should be relesed in pair with a city-like map. Christmas maybe… 2026?

My concern is what sets him apart from other predators. Imo he needs to have a unique weapon like the spear gun that costs that cop his life. Maybe if he had new melee combos?

IMHO guys…he looks just like Jungle Hunter. And from far away…looks EXACTLY LIKE jungle hunter.

LOL. So don’t get your hopes up! ;) Elder predator only looks like an Elder with his mask blown off.

So unless they start doing audio with these new preds…i’m afraid its going to be another meh.

Actually, helmet is a little more red than the JH. And armour is a lot more darker…we will see how it looks ingame.

Considering the leaks for him came out on June 12th I’d say that he is closer to be completed than you think. We are on a public build and this is what we have think about what they probably have on a dev build. He is probably pretty close to completion.

Dude that’s because he is…the City Hunter. It’s always been “kinda similar” to the Jungle Hunter…that’s always been…the City Hunter…that was the point at the beginning, that was the imagery associated with yautjas. Did u discover he was a thing just now?

Sure if you compare JH to super predators or even celtic etc yea, there is more separation between them.
Besides, under the mask CH is quite different. Also he has a combi that’s unique and cooler than the one we have in-game rn (and was shown in the early trailers)

Ofc I really hope he comes with new mimicry and his own sounds, but I’ll be happy with him being just aestethics like the elder (although the latter does have its unique growl).

Now, would it be awesome if he had a new weapon or a new mechanic? Hell yes
But it’s not like it would be this massive let down otherwise, we’ve always being anticipating him as it is. It’s kinda like playing i don’t know a spiderman game and getting classic skins for me.

I’m just saying that for him to be a paid DLC might get people uptight. We got the Elder for free which was cool. But pound for pound, we realize the only thing really special about CH is his crown. But Elder was also unique too. I just hope Ilfonic keeps up the free updates and surprises like they did in the past. I’m hyped!!!
His amour though is a unique type. So we will see!

Yo @IllFonic @Courier This is a good idea, can you release the city hunter and all the OG movie predators for free for those who pre order the game and have jungle hunter, you guys will benefit with actual ratings and playerbase and overall positive feedback from community…

Anyways this is just a suggestion lol…

Won’t benefit from $$$ from DLC though?

Would also piss off anyone who didn’t preorder and has come late to the party - they will never have a complete game if illfonic ever listened to the pathetic suggestions of those who cry “I’m a special snowflake because I paid the exact same amount before release”.

They would be more likely to lose players if they put content behind a bullshit wall you can’t even buy your way around.
