City Hunting Grounds Map Idea!

So my idea for a realistic (or as realistic as a Predator franchise can get) City Hunting Grounds Map would follow in as a Quarantine closed off area, this would cover 5 or so blocks. This could be the smallest map in the game, but with different rooms of different buildings could make all the difference. How this would look would be that the outlines of the map would be covered by yellow tape, cops sirens and lights going off, and if you stay out for too long I guess it would be taken as a sick person escaping quarantine would be gunned down to keep containment of a “unknown virus”. The buildings of said objectives would have certain access ways, such as buildings with fire escapes (similar to the Airstrip fire escapes), bridges made by OWLF connecting to certain buildings to be ontop of or connecting inside buildings. Now these buildings and the streets look as though a war came through, in reality this was a hunting grounds in order to contain the “subject”.

Now for the backstory, as I said OWLF tried their best to contain the Predator as quietly as possibly. The Predator was ready though, and took out the many agents sent for capture. Now facing with a Predator that can no longer be captured, it turned this peaceful city block into a concrete jungle of its own usefulness. For the Fireteam I thought about their entrance and exits being through a helicopter who drops them off and picks them up off of a helipad on 4 different building locations, the other being in a SWAT like car that drops them off at the entrance that’s closed off to the public.

The design of the fireteam can work similar to RainBow 6 siege’s map where they are placed in hazmat suits, but the hazmat suits are the OWLF cooling suits just like the OWLF Operator. However I’m not too against having the default customization, just saying it looks alittle Sus with people armed to the teeth looking the way the do in the city to “contain a virus and keep quarantine”. The missions would be alittle weird I guess for the Fireteam retrieving OWLF equipment, or eliminating Stargazer Operatives that snuck into the city through the sewers to capture the Predator themselves. This is unfortunately makes the Predator a secondary objective or hidden objective only popping up as important to still make it feel new to the Fireteam, as for when the Predator is defeated the same thing will happen and always happen. If they successfully activates gauntlet and self destructs, I was thinking of a cool way to make the cinematic ending being that of a newspaper explaining what happened.

Newspaper: “Explosion took the life of (how many where caught in the blast) with (how many survivors made it out the blast).”

Description: “What was meant to be a quarantine of a city blocks, turned into a ticking time bomb that took account of many property damage and with the blocks destroyed requiring further quarantining with radiation spiking off the charts.”

Anyways that’s my idea of what my ideal City Map would be, what do you guys think? What is your ideal City Hunting Grounds map?

Now draw the minimap, chokepoints, and predkour routes/leap arcs to explain why a map full of buildings won’t work.

Does anyone walk into the suicide hangar?
Does anyone walk into the suicide cave?
Does anyone genuinely enjoy peaking the warehouse in that obnoxiously large derailed compound? How about running circles around the trains playing peekaboo?
Does anyone like the open water area of backwater where people tend to just stall the game because its an area entirely in favor of the FT?

The maps and even buildings are ridiculously open and the preds camera still barely works indoors on current maps, leap doesn’t work at all its also really garbage for trying to get on top of stuff with how far you need to back up.
The spacing of this map would look ridiculous because it has to accomodate for the arcing leap.
Pred just needs a dumb amount of space for half his stuff to work even the bow and smart disc. Melee is trumped by a guy crouching on a desk and the other bodyblocking a doorway. Also if the downed guy blocks the doorway you die. I can’t imagine a campier map. Maybe if they blow out half the walls in all the building and create an absurd distance between the roof and the floor so the pred can leap out without hitting the ceiling but at that point why are you even bothering with a city map just go make pyramid ruins.

At best you get a street, lots of smoke and some cars to crouch behind like those crappy shacks at backwater with no trees and no cover/branches so predkour is suicide just like it was at launch on top of requiring new animations and assets. A couple tall hangar/warehouse wide buildings that you just peek out and caster and go back and forth with the FT sniper while everyone else just camps in a room speedrunning missions.

The Battlefield franchise can barely make balanced city maps I don’t know why people think illfonic can do it with way, way more budget & gameplay restrictions and two very different asymmetrical playstyles.

It was more so just a thought then a request. If “I” where to make a city maps this is how it would look in a way.

Bro your focus is entirely in the wrong place.

If illfonic could make a city map with this game, I think they’d try. It’s designed for open areas and perch points.

Right off the bat, everyone knows a city map is impossible with this games design entirely because the predator being stuck indoors is an absolute death sentence. It just can’t work with the game design for lack of a better term.

Best they could do imo is look at my sweet home chicago and entirely ditch anything indoors. Use alleyways, fire escapes, rooftops, layered streets and railways… it COULD work but, it’d take more effort than they can give. Mostly because they already have a set path of development and most definitely 100% are NOT doing a city map.

Yeah. I have an Idea too. What about a buildingkour instead of a treekour ? And yes, if they make a such map(what i doubt) they will have to fix some bugs and readjust the leap gameplay with a kind of Intelligent sight that dodge the obstacles and a brand new TPS vision that WORK into buildings. Even if they don’t make a city map, they NEED to do the two last things.

Building Predcore sounds interesting like how Assassins creed unity works? How you can run across walls and perch on possibly a ledge or gargoyal? I feel like that would be the strong suits for the Predator being Gargoyles to act as trees.

The only reason trees work now is because of the bullet shield branches that they patched in due to trees being unusable and putting you at a disadvantage.

Everyone at launch remembers predkour was just suicide and got you shot from all angles.
