Class Specific Skin Patterns

Why are certain skin patterns locked behind classes? I would absolutely love to get jh or elder’s skin pattern on my zerker. Sometime down the line please implement this

I don’t think they should add the Elder as a skin for any class other than Elder to be completely honest.

I think it would be kinda cool to leave elder as it’s own separate thing, separate design.

For now though, just use the Berserker with Mottle white, and elder dreads if you have them. Should look about the same

But why? That’s like saying only jh should be able to wear the classic mask. Or any class that came with a custom mask

Maybe they mean that in a way to make the Classes more unique?

I think that specific request may have to with how the Predator models work with the Shaders.

Say you go to Jungle Hunter/Elder and you put a random skin from one of the Default Shaders. It fits, but it also tries to mingle with the model of that specific Predator, much like how the Default Skin shaders mingle with Alpha’s body texture. It works then right?

Now say you try to put Alpha’s Mire Skin onto a regular Pred (Hunter,Scout,Samurai,Zerker). He just ends up looking like a big green man with no actual skin details because that shader was meant for Alpha; who’s body texture complicated that exclusive shader.

But by that same logic they had to model all of the other skin patterns that the normal classes have for the special modeled preds. It wouldn’t be any harder to make jh’s skin pattern for everyone then to make mottle or raptor for the more different modeled preds

Some pattern’s like JH’s, shouldn’t be shared. You have the mask, be happy with that.

Don’t get me wrong I like having the mask despite not using it, but jh has my favorite skin pattern in the game and elder has my second favorite. I just wish they were useable on other preds.

Side note, if you haven’t seen jh’s face in this game it’s honestly funny as fuck to me. He’s so goddamn angry it’s amazing

I can put classic skin on all my classes. Must be a perk that comes with Pre-Ordering the game
