Class sprint speed rebalance

So after doing some testing of sprint speeds, I can see why support is so strong. It’s too fast in relation to the other classes. The following suggestion is an attempt to differentiate the available classes by mobility to a higher degree. Assault, OWLF, and Dutch 87 remain unchanged.

Alternative class sprint speeds

Support
6.7 m/s

Dutch 2025
6.85 m/s

Assault, 0WLF operative, dutch 1987
7.15 m/s

Dante
7.35 m/s

Recon
7.45 m/s

Scout
7.6 m/s

Isn’t there a difference in turn speed too?

Laughs in field medic and 20% damage reduction

Dutch 2025 should have best running stats period according to the Dutch tapes.

I don’t think so. I could check.

Well, yes it’s the combination of field medic and 20% damage reduction without giving up enough mobility.

It has low perk points and stamina, but in the grand scheme those aren’t really that much of negative because all the other classes are basically forced to use thick skin anyway and speed is better than stamina when it comes to avoiding damage.

Yeah. He actually has the lowest speed. Just slightly slower than support in the current version, it’s hard to notice because he has more stamina.

While Dante is just as fast as recon. Why?

No it’s just field medic and damage reduction.

You can use mobility to balance it but it’s not the mobility

And even then there’s only so much speed you can nerf

Assault uses Yautja’s bane for 130% damage

Recon has 10 perk points left over which is one more than a blank assault

Scout is trash.

Both Dutch’s are tanky

If it wasn’t for Field medic dexterous would be replaced with thick skin

Plasma users will beat these players. Going in with such low health is just asking to get melted by plasma predators. 10% extra damage is not worth it unless the predator puts themselves in compromised positions.

An assault or recon with thick skin will do more damage than with Bane because they’ll survive longer. Assault deadly already gives you 120% with assault rifles and Recon sniper gives you 115% against spotted targets. 6 points for 10% more damage isn’t worth giving up thick skin or gearhead.

You underestimate the FT’s DPS

If you kill the Pred first they can’t kill you. If they’re using plasma track them and out dps them. Especially if you get your team on it.

Distance is the best way to reduce DPS.

That’s my point.

Plasma caster is all about burst attacks. Good predators will hide the laser as they charge or use dithered lens, so you won’t be doing much tracking.

Dithered lense and modified reserve is pew pew city

Because he’s portrayed by a former nfl running back

Then you can’t give him so much health, defensive perks, and field medic, for balance sake.

You can still out dps a Pred.

Not to mention what happens when the Pred isn’t shooting at you? Thick skin only applies to surviving hits so when you shoot a Pred who’s attacking a teamate you get less dps.

Ya. And Yautja’s bane is better.

You can easily track a Pred regardless if perks. In the tree’s? Watch for movement.

On the ground watch their last locations for movement.

Also like if the preds is taking his time with charging shots just do the mission lol it only takes 3 ft to bunker down and hold back a pred then predator.loses.in 4min

Our particular argument is on dps but ya there is mission pressure that completely destroys Preds slow and careful playstyle with or without thick skin.

Not to mention if this health was so important why wasn’t support OP before his massive buff

Clearly @Eshtion and I aren’t seeing eye to eye on this, but that was part of my point about having more health. If the predator is playing the range game, you just need to survive and keep moving and pushing the mission.

But what do I know? If anyone thinks Bane is worth the trade off, that’s fine. I’m not going to tell new players that though, because I absolutely disagree.

Well he sort of was a support thick skin with every CQC guns would always survive fighting a melee encounter with a W and back then FT had more healing sources than they do no
So really supports were always “good”

Support players with the sawz50, grenades, and medic kits was the meta for months when the game released, and it’s only gotten stronger.
