This game has its issue, but it added a lot of story, great narrative and expansion to the lore and being an strict MP shooter - it did not had to do any of that. Right now I’m confident to say that this game is part of canon for me. Its respectful and adds in very smart way. Also, tends to ignore a lot of bullshit from The Predator (extra points from me for that!) I have just watched Jared Gerritzen from Illfonic explaining how they are adding to the lore, what they are adding and why does our Pred clicks while cloaked. He specifically states that this is his personal understanding and his addition to the lore – and it works for me. I’m buying it. I feel good about this theory. I will never again complain about them clicking while cloaked. Please watch at least that single statement from him. Or the whole thing – its worth it fans!

Eh…ok I guess. I mean that doesn’t really make sense to me. We’ve seen that the Predator is 100% silent when he wants to be especially while cloaked. He makes noise when he chooses. And certainly while stalking heavily armed and intelligent alien life forms would be a great time to drink a nice tall glass of shut the fuck up.
I don’t like it or buy it.
Just say its for gameplay balance purposes and stop with lore.
Hes crawling on a tree. Silent as ever. Painless.
My opinion is that clicking should be a manual option/button the gets bonus points cause it gives away location. And it should do what it does now, but when you turn on thermal because you’re using tech to help yourself out, when FT have no clue except eyes.
Either that or space it out way more. Its too frequent right now.

I always attributed the clicking to the Predator getting a rush of adrenalin in anticipation of claiming his trophies, in that their excitement and the thrill of the hunt overwhelms them…

Okay so a lot of ppl don’t like when I explain lore from pred but clicking is like expressing emotion like how dogs wag there tail they sometimes can’t help it and it could mean anger and excitement while hunting I’ve never hurd it being being painful and if it is why would they all use it so often should we now take damage from cloak this is so dumb lmao?
I personally don’t like the idea of Predators being in pain or even showing it while cloaked. But I do think that is just his head canon as he’s made it a point numerous times in that Podcast that it’s all up to interpretation.

He is not feeling pain or anything when cloaking thats for sure.
They click as for anticipation and also to respond to the prey as in to indicate its there and its close and about to attack… and i highly agree we should just be able to do it manually cause the current mimicry wheel feels like it hasnt been thought out properly lol… or even designed to be used in general… most people didnt even realise it was there until a week later lol… its like just those small things they need to put out there for pred to actually be pred… cause right now he is just an leaping npc with alien tech and a bullet sponge… to me he does not feel like anything else except that rn… all of my recent matches i went for just tryhard and xp cause no one wants to have fun in game or is scared by pred anymore lmao…
Totally for gameplay purposes like the time limit and nerfing of pred weapon. FT salt levels would go through the roof if pred was quiet except for when wounded. If clicking was in the mimicry wheel I would use it. I didn’t watch the video but I’m assuming it clicks to taunt it’s prey or because it’s excited?
Also if you havent realised… he can perfectly mimic a human without any glitch or error… which i find dumb and not worked on properly…
I wish they made the mimicry wheel feel more immersive… like the voices end up stuttering a bit or pitched down or up… And clicking should be there too lmao…
